Arc 69The Siege of Black City Monastery

Luo Bin sought Rinpoche and drew the Sinpos into a confrontation at New Black City Monastery, where Kong An’s plans unraveled and Luo Muye and Luo Xianshen came under attack. The battle left Luo Xianshen fighting Zhan Si as Mao Zhan’s Divine Yang Spirit possessed Luo Bin.

  • Luo Bin infiltrated Dergé Thangka Temple, fought the Iron-Staff Lama, and met Rinpoche, who agreed to help expose Kong An.
  • Rinpoche told Luo Bin about the Living Buddhas and their repeated reincarnations, while the Iron-Staff Lama returned Jade Corpse’s body and Wei Youming warned Luo Bin not to summon her soul in the Tibetan Lands.
  • Kong An died at Zhan Si Black City Monastery after refusing the Sinpos’ plan, while Xu Lu and Shangguan Xingyue remained trapped in the Bright Consort Palace.
  • Luo Bin brought Rinpoche and a large procession of monks to New Black City Monastery as the Sinpos moved against Luo Muye and Xu Lu.
  • Dibe Yum possessed Shangguan Xingyue to stop her suicide, while Xu Lu’s soul fragments reunited after the deities abandoned Zhan Si.

Arc 70The Fall of Black City

Luo Bin and his allies attacked Black City Monastery to stop Kong An, but Kong An’s rites brought catastrophe and killed several leaders. The survivors escaped the Tibetan Lands, while strange Gu Worms appeared on Luo Bin and he called for help.

  • Mao Zhan possessed Luo Bin and helped him strike Zhan Si from the Cliff Platform, freeing Shangguan Xingyue, while Rinpoche later revealed that Kong An had reincarnated before Deduo killed him.
  • Luo Bin discovered that Kong An had manipulated events at Black City Monastery and entered the Black Prison, where Basang showed him the prison’s abuses and Xu Lu’s ghostly aura intensified.
  • Kong An revealed himself to Luo Muye and took control of the monastery’s deities, while Luo Bin’s warning brought Qin Tianqing and Taoist forces to attack Black City Monastery.
  • Luo Bin, Miao Zi, and the Taoists fought through the monastery as Liu Yinping sacrificed his life to strike Kong An and Mao Zhan helped defeat Angba Body.
  • Kong An’s Offering Mantra turned the dead into sacrifices and weakened the attackers, while Xu Lu broke the chant’s influence and Liu Yinping died destroying his Great Core.
  • Kong An killed Ba Qin and challenged Deduo over whether a killer could become a Buddha, then vultures carried Deduo away as Qin Tianqing ordered the Taoists to retreat.
  • Luo Bin and Xu Lu freed the Black Prison’s captives, and the survivors regrouped by the river before leaving the Tibetan Lands.
  • At a service area, Luo Bin awoke to find Gu Worms covering the vehicle and twelve Gu Silkworm Gold Bars protruding from his face, then dialed a number.

Arc 71The Heart-Peering Grounds

Luo Bin and his companions pursued the corpse cores and the Blackblood Vine while confronting threats tied to Four-Rules Mountain and Heavenly Mechanism Mountain. They reached the mountain to investigate the Unlived People and Infant Ghosts, then discovered the surrounding forest formed a Heart-Peering Grounds.

  • Luo Bin repaired the White Flower Lantern after White Silkworm Gu clung to it, then reached Iron Temple Mountain and met Chang Xin, Mao Yousan’s other disciple.
  • Wei Youming’s Fierce Prison trapped Jingshan Yue and the Infant Ghost, and Luo Bin destroyed the Infant Ghost before learning that Jingshan Yue’s soul remained with Wei Youming.
  • Luo Bin discovered that Yuan Yinxin had hidden a soul in Shi Gan’s fontanel, and Shangguan Xingyue burned it away with the Seven Yin Talismans.
  • Luo Bin’s group reached Golden Altar Mountain, killed Fu Yu and his companions, removed the Infant Corpse from Jingshan Yue, and recovered corpse cores as the mountain collapsed.
  • Luo Bin left Four-Rules Mountain with the Blackblood Vine after the Gu Worms drew him away, then returned and let Miao Zi absorb the vine while Miao Zi made pills from Jingshan Yue’s corpse.
  • Luo Bin gave the three pills to Jingshan Yue’s Jade Corpse, then traveled toward Heavenly Mechanism Mountain with Shangguan Xingyue and Xu Lu.
  • Luo Bin and Qin Tianqing confronted an Unlived Person in Zhang Qiuxi’s home, and Qin Tianqing took her child into his care after Infant Ghosts appeared in Qushui Town.
  • Luo Bin used the Miao King’s Ocarina and his Gu worms to cover the ruins of Heavenly Gate Mountain with venomous insects, then discovered that the surrounding forest formed a heart-shaped Heart-Peering Grounds.
