Ch. 1005Longevity Immortals, disciples and descendants!

Luo Bin thwarted a supernatural attempt to reach him through the Human-Skin Garment, while Lu Wu and Lu Min sent Longevity Immortals searching for Lu Si. Zhou Sanming, revealed to have escaped and regained some strength, summoned the Longevity Immortals and set out to hunt for people with abundant vital energy.

  • Luo Bin sensed a face struggling inside the Human-Skin Garment and used blood-drawn talismans to stop the green mist and silence it.
  • Lu Wu and Lu Min fed blood-soaked rice to the Longevity Immortals and sent them searching Gui Market for Lu Si's aura.
  • The Human-Skin Garment wrapped around Luo Bin as a woman and several dead figures gathered silently beside his bed.
  • Zhou Sanming recalled escaping Elephant Mountain after Xiao Chi drained his vital energy, then recovering by consuming ordinary people's essence.

Ch. 1006This lowly one will roll away at once

Zhou Sanming met Lu Wu and Lu Min in Gui Market and learned they had prepared the three souls for Soul Fusion. Meanwhile, Luo Bin recovered, gathered supplies, and left Gui Market, leaving Fan Jie to encounter Zhou Sanming and flee in fear.

  • Lu Wu and Lu Min were shocked to learn the longevity immortals had fused before the three souls, then knelt when Zhou Sanming entered and recognized him as their Patriarch.
  • Zhou Sanming praised Lu Wu and Lu Min for preparing all three souls and questioned how they had evaded Six Yin Mountain's restriction on three generations studying Yin-Yang Arts together.

  • Luo Bin left Gui Market that evening, and Fan Jie arrived at his courtyard too late to find him.
  • Fan Jie cursed Zhou Sanming, Lu Wu, and Lu Min, then apologized and rolled away when Lu Min ordered him to leave.

Ch. 1007Twice-refined Gu Worms

Luo Bin traveled to Stonewall Mountain to refine venomous creatures into gu, using a mountain-wind feng shui site and talismans to improve his chances. After refining nine jars of venomous creatures a second time, he found a surviving gu in every jar and had to decide whether to continue.

  • Luo Bin bought venomous creatures in the town near Stonewall Mountain and failed to refine gu from his first batches.
  • Luo Bin kept buying venomous creatures until he raised five ordinary gu: three centipedes, a gecko, and a scorpion.
  • Luo Bin entered Stonewall Mountain with chickens and entrails, set them out in a valley suited to mountain-wind gu, and studied his primordial calculation inheritance.
  • Luo Bin spent half a month refining gu at the valley, using feng shui and talismans to boost his success rate and begin refining gu a second time.
  • Luo Bin woke to find a gu alive in each of nine jars, giving him nine twice-refined gu worms, and wondered whether to stop.

Ch. 1008Witch Doctor? Miao?

Luo Bin risked his accumulated gu worms in an attempt to create a three-refined gu while hunting more venomous creatures on Stonewall Mountain. Jin Lü, a murderous witch doctor who used flying heads and gu to kill Gui Market pursuers, searched the mountain for whoever was depleting its venomous creatures as Luo Bin slept under the protection of a mysterious woman.

  • Luo Bin combined nine two-refined gu worms in a jar to attempt a three-refined gu, then went back into the woods to catch more venomous creatures.
  • At Buddha Son Temple, Jin Lü used his ocarina to command flying heads to attack a captured Gui Market man and tortured him with a Centipede Gu.
  • Jin Lü explained that he had learned gu from an old man but later killed him and fled to Stonewall Mountain, where he planned to refine enough flying heads to leave.
  • Suspecting that someone was ravaging the mountain's venomous creatures, Jin Lü flew out to search for the culprit.
  • Luo Bin fell asleep among his jars, and a mysterious woman emerged from the valley mist and concealed him and the jars as Jin Lü's head passed overhead.

Ch. 1009Three-Refined Snake Gu

Luo Bin successfully refined a three-refined snake gu in his valley, while Jin Lü’s search for an intruder led him to mistake its poisonous mist for a naturally born gu. Jin Lü flew toward the valley, believing he had found a rare treasure.

  • Luo Bin continued refining gu and gathered venomous creatures as their numbers dwindled around the mountain.
  • Jin Lü tortured a man who refused to reveal information, then turned him into the beginnings of a gu-bound person.
  • After seven days of searching Stonewall Mountain, Jin Lü failed to find Luo Bin and began to suspect a naturally born gu had appeared.
  • Luo Bin’s threefold refinement succeeded, producing a slender black-and-white snake gu that accepted his blood.
  • Jin Lü spotted poisonous mist rising from Luo Bin’s valley, concluded a naturally born gu was hidden there, and flew down with dozens of corpse heads following him.

Ch. 1010Come to Buddha Son Temple if you've got the guts!

Gui Market’s elders struggled to explain a wave of disappearances while Zhou Sanming prepared to search for Lu Si’s soul. On Stonewall Mountain, Luo Bin defeated Jin Lü with the Calling Bell, but Jin Lü escaped toward Buddha Son Temple after unleashing his gu worms.

  • Wu Dong and the elders discussed eighteen missing people, Long Liang’s failed divinations, and their inability to enlist Fan Jie or find Luo Bin.
  • Zhou Sanming had Lu Min and Lu Wu collect blood and soak rice, then said he needed a day to recover before searching for Lu Si’s soul.
  • Jin Lü descended into the poisonous mist and found Luo Bin surrounded by gu worms and jars on Stonewall Mountain.
  • Jin Lü sent his flying heads to attack, but Luo Bin rang the Calling Bell and knocked Jin Lü’s head to the ground, making the other heads retreat.
  • Jin Lü unleashed gu worms and poisonous insects, then fled toward the summit after Luo Bin’s second bell strike failed to stop him.
  • Luo Bin’s gu worms devoured the disorganized insects left behind as he watched Jin Lü disappear into the distance.

Ch. 1011Blood Feeding Failed-A Limit on Natal Gu?

  • Luo Bin recognized Jin Lü’s Gu worms as genuine and headed up the mountain after they killed and devoured Jin Lü’s worms.
  • Jin Lü recovered inside the Buddha Son Temple and became greedy for Luo Bin’s Gu worms and knowledge of Three Perils Mountain.
  • Jin Lü fed his blood to a chubby infant spirit and ordered it to attack Luo Bin, while women’s ghosts and their dolls waited in the room.
  • Luo Bin tried to feed blood to the Gu Snake but could not make it his natal Gu, despite having already claimed it as his own.
  • The Gu Snake clung between Luo Bin’s brows, and Luo Bin wondered whether his three existing natal Gu prevented him from raising another before deciding he needed to clean house.

Ch. 1012The ghosts of Buddha Son Temple

Luo Bin entered Buddha Son Temple while searching for Jin Lü, but the temple’s hidden passage led him into a supernatural courtyard haunted by murdered monks. Trapped in a passage that looped back on itself, he heard a voice demand that he eat vegetarian food.

  • Luo Bin approached Buddha Son Temple cautiously, sent Gu Worms ahead, and climbed over the wall after finding no signs of people.
  • He entered through a cobwebbed side door while Jin Lü hid behind a concealed door and waited for him to approach.
  • Luo Bin left the Gu Worms in the courtyard and passed through a hidden passage into another courtyard where monks chanted beneath a sunless white sky.
  • The monks stared at Luo Bin with hollow eyes, then walked toward him with their heads twisted around, and he recognized them as victims murdered at Buddha Son Temple.
  • Luo Bin fled into the passage but found himself back at its entrance, where a voice told him to eat a bowl of vegetarian food or remain trapped.

Ch. 1013Please show mercy, benefactor!

Luo Bin escaped the temple’s haunted courtyards by turning the ghost monks against Lu Si, then let the monks enter the Human-Skin Garment and continued east. He emerged through a temple door in front of Jin Lü, who was shocked to see him.

  • Luo Bin summoned the female Green Wraith Ghost to fight the ghost behind him and fled into a courtyard filled with the poisoned monks’ ghosts.
  • The ghost monks surrounded Luo Bin and pressed their bowls toward him, but he used the Human-Skin Garment to force Lu Si to release his soul essence.
  • Luo Bin persuaded the ghost monks to devour Lu Si, opening a path through the courtyard.
  • Abbot Shi'an asked Luo Bin to show mercy, and he and the ghost monks entered the Human-Skin Garment instead of attacking Luo Bin.
  • Luo Bin called the ruined remains of Lu Si into the garment and ran east while the female Green Wraith Ghost fought the male ghost.
  • Jin Lü watched a temple door get kicked open and was stunned when Luo Bin appeared.

Ch. 1014Unless you call me the Miao King!

Luo Bin fought Jin Lü in the Buddha Son Temple, using Copper Beads and Monk Ghosts against Jin Lü’s flying heads and Golden Boys. Jin Lü’s ocarina turned the gu worms against him, and they swarmed his body while Luo Bin’s thrice-refined gu snake bit his nose.

  • Luo Bin surprised Jin Lü with a Calling Bell and Copper Bead attack, but Jin Lü escaped harm by detaching his head and sending flying heads after him.
  • Luo Bin used more Copper Beads and released Monk Ghosts from the Human-Skin Garment to fight the heads as Jin Lü fled into the temple hall.

Jin Lü was trapped, while his master Miao Chong acknowledged Luo Bin as the reigning Miao King and accepted responsibility for his disciple’s crimes.

  • Luo Bin realized that the Miao King’s inheritance mark and authority resided in his soul, causing the gu worms to recognize him.
  • Jin Lü summoned his ghost master with a Buddha Amulet and threatened Luo Bin as he took up the ocarina.
  • Luo Bin played the Miao King's Ocarina, driving the gu worms to attack Jin Lü and control the spiders on the roof.
  • Jin Lü tried to escape by sending his head flying, but the spider gu caught him in a web and began devouring him.
  • Luo Bin rejected Jin Lü’s pleas for mercy, and Miao Chong bowed to him as the reigning Miao King before the Buddha Amulet split and corpse oil fell over him.

Ch. 1016How Could You Sleep!

  • Jin Lü tried to possess Luo Bin, but Miao Chong trapped and destroyed his soul before ending his own existence.
  • Luo Bin searched Jin Lü’s hidden chambers, took his head and ocarina, and gathered some of the masterless gu into his backpack.

  • Luo Bin told Long Liang and Huang Bing to close their eyes, hold their breath, and walk past the Lifespan Person, which then disappeared.
  • Luo Bin explained that the Lifespan Person was tied to Six Yin Mountain’s Lifespan Theft and urged Long Liang to alert Gui Market’s divisions and Six Yin Mountain.

After spending the evening at Long Liang’s residence, Luo Bin faced a sudden attack from Zhou Sanming’s lifespan-seeking beggar form.

  • Zhou Sanming asked Luo Bin for the information he had acquired, then sent a projected Yin Spirit after him and took the envelope Luo Bin carried.
  • Luo Bin returned to the coffin house for another copy of the Cloudmist Mountain information, left Gui Market, and read that it gave the sea spring’s location but said nothing about blood peachwood.
  • Long Liang called Luo Bin and arranged for him to stay at his residence before their group set out the next morning.
  • Luo Bin told Long Liang that one of the Six Yin Mountain men in Gui Market was Zhou Sanming, and Long Liang took him to his home for the night.
  • A mist appeared in Luo Bin’s room, and the lifespan-seeking beggar rushed at him with a knife aimed at his throat.

Ch. 1020Put on your clothes, and don't get too cocky

Luo Bin killed a Lifespan Person and discovered a huge talisman on his back before Jin Youde appeared and warned him not to get cocky.
