Ch. 1306A visitor from the Jade Hall Taoist Grounds

Luo Bin met Zhang Fu of the Jade Hall Taoist Grounds, who shared what the City God Temple knew about the Death-Prison Yama Ghost and learned how its prison worked. Zhang Fu then asked Luo Bin to reveal his relationship with Luo Bin and whether he could contact the missing grounds master.

  • Luo Bin encountered Zhang Fu, who had arrived with a Day Patrol after it noticed unusual activity on Old Street.
  • Zhang Fu praised Luo Bin for bringing people to bury the infant corpses in the river and explained that the City God Temple had not approached him because it was occupied with the Death-Prison Yama Ghost and other temple incidents.
  • Luo Bin explained that the ghost trapped people in looping nightmares and changed their details when they began to remember, while those who forgot themselves could escape.
  • Zhang Fu said the City God Temple had preserved Qian Tongbao and the others in hopes of catching the ghost, but they had since become corpses; Luo Bin clarified that victims remembered only the period of suffering.
  • Zhang Fu asked Luo Bin about his relationship with Mr. Luo Bin and whether he could contact him, explaining that the Jade Hall Taoist Grounds' missing grounds master was deeply missed and could return.

Ch. 1307Female Crypt, Male Cave

Luo Bin, traveling under the name Tang Yu, reassured Zhang Fu that Zhang Yunxi was safe and learned that Six Yin Mountain’s forces had vanished after a bloody conflict. At the Female Crypt, he discovered that the infant corpses’ souls had been taken, then went to investigate the Male Cave.

  • Luo Bin revealed Luo Shan’s soul to convince Zhang Fu that Mr. Luo had died, and explained that Zhang Yunxi had left with Hu Jin to hide from danger.
  • Zhang Fu told Luo Bin that Six Yin Mountain’s disciples had withdrawn and that many had died while pursuing their traitor, leading Luo Bin to suspect a blood feud.
  • Zhang Fu explained that the burial site contained a Female Crypt and a Male Cave, and Luo Bin chose to investigate without involving City God Zhang.
  • Fourth Master Gray brought infant corpses out of the Female Crypt, and Luo Bin found that their souls were missing and their bodies were decaying.
  • Luo Bin considered whether the Death-Prison Yama Ghost had taken the infants’ souls, then walked toward the Male Cave and saw its deformed corpse infants.

Ch. 1308The soulless infant corpses

Luo Bin concealed the Female Crypt’s Righteous Pagoda, oversaw the recovery and disposition of the infant corpses, then left Old Street after entrusting Zhang Ze’s family with his teachings and resources. At the Male Crypt’s pagoda, he and Fourth Master Gray uncovered a rotting infant corpse with a missing forehead bone and dark green moss covering its face.

  • Luo Bin sealed the Female Crypt’s Righteous Pagoda with a Heavenly Cycle Concealment Talisman, and the infant Corpse-Ghosts disappeared inside it.
  • Luo Bin led the residents in recovering infant corpses from the river, arranging funerals and offerings, and having the remaining bodies cremated.

  • Luo Bin gave Zhang Ze’s family the teachings, two gold bars to buy the shop for Zhang Ze, and an iron tin before leaving Old Street.
  • Luo Bin reached the Male Crypt’s Righteous Pagoda with Fourth Master Gray and found an infant corpse missing the bone at its forehead, its body rotting beneath dark green moss.

Ch. 1309A discarded child

  • Fourth Master Gray led Luo Bin into a village where Kuang Peng was beating Zhang Qiuxi while villagers argued about her family and the baby she had left behind.
  • Kuang Peng threatened the Village Committee with an air gun, then aimed it at Luo Bin after recognizing the baby.
  • Luo Bin spoke quietly, causing Kuang Peng to drop the gun and clutch his chest.
  • Luo Bin moved to another spot and murmured again, and Kuang Peng began pounding his own head while Zhang Qiuxi fled.
  • Several large black rats attacked Kuang Peng’s crotch as the crowd screamed and watched in shock.

Ch. 1311Little Luo, you are the lamp Heaven lit, the blade he wielded

Luo Bin helped Zhang Qiuxi escape her abusive village and reflected with Fourth Master Gray on Heaven, fate, and the limits of his efforts. He decided to return to Sawu Mountain for the White Flower Lantern and then visit the Underground Palace to help Shangguan Xingyue atone and establish Taoist grounds.

  • Luo Bin found Zhang Qiuxi beneath a locust tree and urged her not to return to her husband, giving her money and an address in Qushui Town.

  • Fourth Master Gray sensed a trace connected to Hu Xing and refused Luo Bin’s suggestion to investigate, fearing they would be discovered.
  • Luo Bin found lodging, bought supplies, and heard Fourth Master Gray explain that Nine Mountains and Seventy-Two Caves had recently begun recruiting outsiders.
  • The guesthouse owner brought food for Luo Bin and an offering for Fourth Master Gray, showing respect to the Immortal Creature.

Granny Huang and the Immortal Creatures fought Dai Zhixiong’s Six-Arts Fangshi, leaving Shangguan Xingyue trapped beneath a white wolf as more creatures converged on Sawu Mountain. Meanwhile, Luo Bin emerged from the Mountain Rift without Fourth Master Gray and hid near the Immortal Tower, wary that danger was close.

Ch. 1319Gu killing, luring the tiger away from the mountain

Luo Bin used divination to determine how to find Bai Wei and realized the hexagram pointed toward the Ghost Granny Lineage’s rules, not a literal stone. He killed the Stone Pagoda’s guards and drew its occupants away, leaving himself an opening to enter.

  • Luo Bin interpreted Bai Wei’s hexagram and concluded that Bai Wei’s lifelong oppression had not yet reached its end.
  • Luo Bin realized the hexagram’s “great stone” represented the Ghost Granny Lineage’s rules and moved west toward a stone tower.
  • Luo Bin sent the Golden Silkworm Gu toward the tower, but it could not control the Beast-Headed Men and killed the two guards instead.
  • Eight Beast-Headed Men emerged from the Stone Pagoda; the Golden Silkworm Gu killed two, while Luo Bin’s other gu worms drove the remaining six away in pain.

  • Luo Bin disguised his face, introduced himself to Bai Wei as Tang Yu, and said an old acquaintance had sent him to rescue him.
  • When Bai Wei refused to leave, Luo Bin warned him to check on his wife, then broke ribs and dislocated joints to free him from the chains.
  • Luo Bin gave Bai Wei medicinal human blood and ignored the seven other captives’ offers as they left the tower.
  • Bai Wei explained that the strange beings in the tower were not ordinary ghosts and that some were Immortal Creatures difficult for the Shamaness Lineage to control.
  • After Bai Wei and Luo Bin found guards dead and torches approaching, Bai Wei called for them to split up and recognized Tang Yu’s footwork as Yin Yuan.

Ch. 1322Entering the cave

Bai Wei, under Hu Qingfeng’s influence, subdued the Beast-Headed Men and shamanesses at the Immortal Tower without killing them. • Luo Bin looked back and saw the shamanesses’ faces turned toward him, their eyes bulging and mouths stretched into wide grins.

Ch. 1323The Witch Queen severed her own head!

Luo Bin reached the deepest part of Sawu Mountain’s crevice and found that Luo Shan’s fleshly shell had vanished. On the mountain slopes, the Six-Arts Fangshi battled Sawu Mountain’s forces until a woman’s uncanny technique severed Dai Xiaohua’s head, leaving his Yin Spirit enraged.

  • Luo Bin squeezed through the crevice and reached its end, where he discovered that Luo Shan’s fleshly shell was gone.

  • Shi Gan urged everyone to flee, while Dai Zhixiong forced Dai Ci to consume a Corpse Core and used a Bronze Sword to trigger Corpse Liberation.
  • Dai Ci’s explosion ignited Dai Xiaohua’s corpse, unleashing blasts that killed Spirit Mediums, beast-headed men, and other fighters across the mountainside.
  • Shangguan Xingyue fled the carnage and ignored Dai Zhixiong’s distant calls as she feared he would turn on her too.
  • Luo Bin found Shan Luo’s body and seven Yin talismans missing from the Mountain Rift, then faced advancing Shamanesses as the Black-Gold Toad began dissolving again.

Ch. 1325"Underworld"

Luo Bin was overwhelmed by ghosts in Mountain Rift after his fate-suppressing objects and Thunderstruck Blood Peach Sword failed. The Blackblood Vine forced the creatures back and revealed Luo Shan’s original body, which had been hidden in a strange Underworld-like space.

  • The Shamanesses overwhelmed Luo Bin after the Compass, Black-Gold Toad, and Thunderstruck Blood Peach Sword proved ineffective against them.
  • Luo Bin spat blood to force the ghosts back, but they soon pressed toward him again.
  • The Blackblood Vine spread through Mountain Rift, making the ghostly creatures retreat and opening a path for Luo Bin.
