Ch. 1366Danger outside the village-was Zhang Yunling dead?

Luo Bin and Luo Shan reunited with Luo Feng, who welcomed them both, but their reunion was interrupted when Zhang Yunling fell into a seemingly supernatural pit. Luo Bin treated her after discovering a corpse in the darkness, and he said he had saved her life.

  • Zhang Baijiao brought Luo Shan to Luo Feng, and Luo Bin revealed that both Luo Shan and he were alive.
  • Luo Feng embraced Luo Shan and realized Luo Bin had a different body, while Fourth Master Gray attacked when Luo Feng grabbed Luo Bin's wrist.
  • Luo Feng left to bring Gu Ya and Gu Yiren, and Luo Bin told Luo Shan he would likely leave in a few days.
  • Zhang Baijiao returned and led Luo Bin and Luo Shan to Zhang Yunling, who was trapped among yam vines beside a dark opening.
  • Luo Bin used a talisman to help Luo Shan pull Zhang Yunling free, then saw a bloodless dead man's face retreat into the opening.
  • Luo Bin gave Zhang Yunling Blood-Human Medicine and placed the benevolent Pill Corpse over her split fontanel, then told Shan Luo she would survive.

Ch. 1367No one knows a son better than his father-he isn't Xiao Shan!

Luo Bin tried to recover Zhang Yunling’s soul while Luo Shan carried her back to the courtyard. There, Luo Feng exposed Luo Shan as an impostor, who admitted taking over the real Xiao Shan’s body and attacked the family.

  • Luo Bin stabilized Zhang Yunling with the Corpse Core and Jade Star Qimen Compass, then went to investigate the grave with Fourth Master Gray.
  • Luo Shan carried Zhang Yunling back to the courtyard while Zhang Baijiao kept the compass in place.
  • Luo Feng struck at Luo Shan, accused him of being an impostor, and explained that his behavior and walking habits did not match Xiao Shan’s.
  • The impostor admitted that he had taken over Xiao Shan’s body and had planned to use Zhang Yunling to kill the others.
  • The impostor drew his knife and attacked Luo Feng, but a sudden blow sent him staggering sideways with a bleeding shoulder.

Ch. 1368Brahmic Voice Calmed the Mind

Luo Bin reunited with Gu Yiren after dealing with the fierce corpse, but learned that Luo Shan had been possessed by another soul. He realized the possession had likely happened when Fourth Master Gray failed to pursue Shan Luo, while an unusual sound calmed Gu Yiren at the chapter’s end.

  • Luo Feng knocked Luo Shan unconscious with a pistol and asked Zhang Baijiao to stop his bleeding.
  • Luo Bin suppressed the fierce corpse in the tomb, and Fourth Master Gray divided it among the Mountain Rats.
  • Luo Bin found Gu Yiren, took her hand, and explained why the villagers would be allowed to recover the tomb’s burial goods.
  • Luo Bin returned to the courtyard and learned that Luo Shan had attacked Luo Feng and Gu Ya before being subdued.
  • Luo Bin realized another soul had entered Luo Shan’s body when Fourth Master Gray had supposedly gone after him.
  • Gu Yiren felt a strange, cold hardness in her chest as an unfamiliar sound calmed her.

Ch. 1369Soul summoning

Luo Bin captured the living soul occupying Luo Shan and realized Luo Shan’s own soul was trapped inside Sawu Mountain’s boundary domain. He prepared to attempt a dangerous soul-summoning ritual after dark, while Yuan Yinxin sensed an uncanny separation between Luo Bin’s body and soul.

  • Luo Bin learned that a Heterodox Path rune on Zhang Yunling attracted corpse-ghosts, then gave Shang Liuli a talisman to treat her.
  • Luo Bin used the Purple Flower Lantern to draw a living soul out of Luo Shan’s body and captured it with the Human-Skin Garment.
  • Luo Bin concealed Luo Shan’s aura with a Heavenly Circuit Concealment Talisman and told his family that he had a rough idea where Luo Shan’s soul was trapped.
  • Luo Bin planned to use the Jade Turtle Talismans and Yin-Yang Arts to try to summon Luo Shan’s soul from Sawu Mountain after dark.
  • Yuan Yinxin sensed Luo Bin again, but felt as though his body and soul had separated before an unseen barrier severed the connection.

Ch. 1370Into the Lake!

Yuan Yinxin realized Luo Bin’s body and soul had been separated and ordered the spirit turtles gathered so he could reclaim the body. Meanwhile, Shangguan Xingyue encountered a strange black object, and Gu Yiren walked into a lake while possessed by the six-eyed, six-eared deity.

  • Yuan Yinxin sensed that a frail Cabinet Mountain soul inhabited Luo Bin’s marked body and ordered the disciples to bring him all the spirit turtles.
  • Yuan Yinxin headed for the Martial Arts Arena but hesitated, remembering how Luo Bin had injured his Yin Spirit before.
  • Shangguan Xingyue found herself gripping the black object that had attached itself to her after she left Peach Immortal Town, but she could not remember how to use the Seven Yin Talismans.
  • Gu Yiren went to the temple behind Ancient Town Village seeking answers about a Buddhist bead and a calming chant, unaware that the Bright Consort deity had attached itself to her.
  • Gu Yiren walked into the deep pool, and Shang Liuli arrived and shouted for her to stop.

Ch. 1371A Duel of Primordial Calculations!

Kong An prepared for the return of the Deputy Chief Seat and the former Bright Consort while Gu Yiren was driven toward drowning by a terrifying being. Luo Bin summoned Luo Shan’s soul, then battled the Yin Spirit possessing him with carefully planned hexagrams.

  • Kong An described the Black Rakshasas’ plans for the temple and led them in chanting “Nialang Duzong.”
  • Gu Yiren found herself compelled to wade into dark water as a six-eyed, crimson being pushed her forward, and Shang Liuli fled to seek help.
  • Luo Bin and the Luo family summoned Luo Shan’s soul from the Heaven Veil entity’s domain, and Luo Shan reunited with Gu Ya.
  • Luo Shan kicked Luo Bin’s imitation White Flower Lantern, but Luo Bin replaced it with the real lantern as Yuan Yinxin’s Yin Spirit possessed Luo Shan.
  • Luo Bin countered Yuan Yinxin’s hexagram with spoken transformations and tried to drive the Yin Spirit out of Luo Shan.

Ch. 1372On the Yangtze, new waves push out the old; in worldly affairs, new faces replace the old

Luo Bin endured Yuan Yinxin’s repeated attacks and recognized that his master was possessing Luo Shan. He used the Purple Lantern to expose and destroy the spirits possessing Luo Feng and Gu Ya, leaving Yuan Yinxin’s scheme thwarted as the confrontation continued.

  • Yuan Yinxin used Cabinet Mountain disciples and the Spirit Tortoise Formation to test Luo Bin’s hexagram techniques and exhaust him through nine rounds of attacks.
  • Yuan Yinxin possessed Luo Shan again and threatened to target Luo Feng and Gu Ya to pressure Luo Bin.
  • Luo Bin used the White Flower Lantern to reveal Yuan Yinxin’s Yin Spirit, but Yuan Yinxin expected the move and relied on spirits possessing Luo Feng and Gu Ya.
  • Fourth Master Gray brought Luo Bin the Purple Lantern, which exposed the possessing spirits and revealed the living souls of Luo Shan, Luo Feng, and Gu Ya.
  • The Purple Lantern destroyed the two Cabinet Mountain spirits, and Luo Feng pulled Luo Shan back to safety while Luo Bin kept the White Flower Lantern lit.

Ch. 1373You Truly Learned Well from Your Master!

Luo Bin used the White Flower Lantern and Blood Peach Sword to destroy Yuan Yinxin’s Yin Spirit and protect his parents from possession. After Shang Liuli urgently summoned him to help Yi Ren, Yuan Yinxin discovered that Luo Bin had fooled him about the Purple Flower Lantern and resolved not to let Luo Bin provoke a Heart Demon in him.

  • Luo Bin realized Yuan Yinxin had mistaken his Purple Flower Lantern for the one kept in Cabinet Mountain and used the misunderstanding to unsettle him.
  • Luo Bin stabbed Yuan Yinxin’s Yin Spirit with the Blood Peach Sword and declared he would cut down every wisp Yuan Yinxin sent.
  • Luo Bin offered to give Luo Feng and Gu Ya Heavenly Cycle Concealment Talismans to protect them from possession.
  • Shang Liuli arrived and urgently called Luo Bin to help Yi Ren, who was in serious trouble.
  • Yuan Yinxin checked his secret chamber, confirmed its Purple Flower Lantern was still there, and realized Luo Bin had used a second lantern to deceive him.
  • Yuan Yinxin praised Luo Bin bitterly, then vowed not to let him make his master develop a Heart Demon.

Ch. 1374The pool drained, but Yi Ren was nowhere to be found

Luo Bin rushed to the draining pool after Gu Yiren disappeared, but Fourth Master Gray found no trace of her in the water. A shoe and a huge fissure suggested she had been swept into the mountain, and Luo Bin’s attempt to locate Ming Fei with the human-skin garment failed.

  • Shang Liuli told Luo Bin that something had attached itself to Gu Yiren before she vanished into the pool.
  • An earthquake shook the village, and Luo Bin reached the pool to find its water draining rapidly.
  • Fourth Master Gray searched underwater and reported that Gu Yiren was not in the pool.
  • A second tremor exposed most of the pool bed, and Fourth Master Gray led the group to Gu Yiren’s shoe beside a huge fissure.
  • Luo Bin insisted Gu Yiren was alive, but the human-skin garment gave no sign of Ming Fei.

Ch. 1375The underground river in the mountain

Luo Bin searched the underground river for Gu Yiren after the Bright Consort vanished, while refusing to use divination that could fix her fate. He sent Fourth Master Gray to investigate the river’s route, leaving Luo Bin, Luo Feng, and Shang Liuli waiting by the water.

  • Luo Bin found that only the ghost that had possessed Luo Shan returned to the Human-Skin Garment, and he led the search into the Mountain Rift with Luo Feng and Shang Liuli.
  • Luo Bin crawled through the flooded fissure and reached a vast underground river fed by the split Barrier Lake.
  • Luo Feng and Shang Liuli admitted they knew little about what lay below the mountain and feared Gu Yiren could not survive there, but Luo Bin insisted she was alive.
  • Luo Bin refused to divine Gu Yiren’s fate because fixing it could leave only one path, and he ordered Fourth Master Gray to send Mountain Rats to find the river’s outlet.
  • After the Mountain Rats began falling into the current, Fourth Master Gray went to investigate himself, while Shang Liuli asked Luo Bin whether another unseen entity was involved.

Ch. 1376Heavenly Mechanism Draws the Yin Dragon

Luo Bin realized that the Bright Consort was no longer in Gu Yiren and concluded that the deity wanted to kill her, prompting him and his companions to flee the underground river. Elsewhere in Cabinet Mountain, Qin Tianqing’s people rescued a woman swept out by the Yin Dragon Water and discovered she bore the Heavenly Yi Noble of Yang destiny.

  • Fourth Master Gray returned injured after encountering ghostly creatures in the underground river and warned Luo Bin that demons were beneath the water.
  • Luo Bin retraced his memories and realized the Bright Consort had disappeared from the human-skin garment before he arrived, concluding that the deity wanted to kill Gu Yiren.
  • Strange fish-bodied creatures, maggots, and insects gathered on the river, so Luo Bin, Shang Liuli, and Luo Feng hurried toward the exit.
  • Qin Tianqing’s people used Yin Dragon Water to wash ghostly creatures from the river and rescued a woman who had nearly died.
  • A member of the Heavenly Mechanism Daoist Sanctuary identified the woman as bearing the Heavenly Yi Noble of Yang destiny, and Qin Tianqing used talisman tablets to draw out the yin energy affecting her.
  • The woman’s face returned to normal as the talisman tablets changed color, but Qin Tianqing’s pupils contracted.

Ch. 1377I had a dream

Qin Tianqing and the Heavenly Mechanism Taoist Grounds disciples rescued Gu Yiren from a ghostly force and crossed the underground river with her. After Gu Yiren spoke fearfully of a dream and warned that Luo Bin could not enter, a deformed figure appeared behind them, beckoning them back.

  • Qin Tianqing used talismans and feng shui formations to suppress the ghostly energy inside Gu Yiren, which briefly took the form of a sinister Buddhist Prayer Bead.
  • Qin Tianqing revived Gu Yiren, who asked where she was and wondered how she could have survived drowning.
  • Qin Tianqing led the disciples across the underground river with Gu Yiren as the current calmed and dark shapes gathered beneath the water.
  • Gu Yiren woke and muttered threats before saying she had to escape, that Luo Bin could not enter, and that she had experienced a terrifying dream.
  • Qin Tianqing turned toward the mountain and saw a deformed figure beckoning the group to return.

Ch. 1378Foreknowledge

Qin Tianqing tried to calm Gu Yiren and learn more about her frightening dreams while Luo Bin’s group escaped Cabinet Mountain. After Shang Liuli revealed that Gu Yiren might resist the deity, Luo Bin sought a map to locate her and grew alarmed by what he learned about her abilities.

  • Qin Tianqing reassured Gu Yiren that Luo Bin could not enter the mountain’s depths and questioned her about her dreams.
  • Luo Bin’s group emerged from the mountain pass, and Shang Liuli urged him to save Gu Yiren before the deity harmed her.
  • Fourth Master Gray warned Luo Bin that Gu Yiren’s fear and the deity’s pursuit could put her life at risk.
  • Luo Bin asked for a map and hurried toward the village with Shang Liuli, planning to use the mountain’s feng shui to find Gu Yiren.
  • Shang Liuli described Gu Yiren’s unusual experiences, leading Luo Bin to suspect that her sickness was not caused by fear.

Ch. 1379Two birds with one stone, Yuan Tianshu!

Luo Bin realized Qin Jiumo had been a pawn in a hidden plot against Yuan Yinxin and suspected Yuan Tianshu was the power behind it. Studying a map of Cabinet Mountain, he concluded that Gu Yiren had been returned inside the mountain and that someone needed to cross the river.

  • Luo Bin reconsidered Qin Jiumo’s abilities and concluded that someone stronger had used him to undermine Yuan Yinxin’s control of Cabinet Mountain.
  • Luo Bin suspected Yuan Tianshu was still present on Cabinet Mountain and had orchestrated the scheme against his former disciples.
  • Luo Bin returned to the courtyard and examined maps with Shang Liuli, noting that Cabinet Mountain enclosed a vast mountain range.
  • Luo Bin reasoned that the earth dragon’s tumbling had suppressed the deity’s power but carried Gu Yiren back inside Cabinet Mountain.
  • Luo Bin studied the underground river and concluded that someone needed to cross it despite the ghost creatures living in its waters.

Ch. 1380Grass became a green meadow, a lone bamboo grew into a forest

Luo Bin realized that Heaven had been pushing him toward death and that his fear of acting would only trap him in despair. He chose to return to Cabinet Mountain to save Gu Yiren, Qin Tianqing, and the Heavenly Mechanism Taoist Grounds Disciples, ordering the others to leave.

  • Luo Bin deduced that Qin Tianqing was being manipulated and that Yuan Yinxin remained injured inside the Cabinet Mountain Taoist Grounds.
  • Luo Bin sent Shang Liuli, Luo Feng, and Luo Shan out, then considered how repeated setbacks had shaped his life and feared Heaven wanted him dead.
  • Luo Bin found a blade of grass growing through a crack and drew strength from its persistence.
  • Luo Bin asked Shang Liuli, Luo Feng, Gu Ya, and Luo Shan whether they would risk entering Cabinet Mountain to save the others, even with only a one-in-a-hundred chance of survival.
  • Luo Bin declared that he would return to Cabinet Mountain and ordered the others to leave.

Ch. 1381You could evade heaven's will, but could you evade fate? Entering Cabinet Mountain alone!

Luo Bin resolved to enter Cabinet Mountain despite the danger, believing that confronting fate would strengthen his freedom from heaven’s will. After secretly following Cabinet Mountain Taoist Grounds disciples and using Fourth Master Gray’s help to pass through the mountain mist, he entered Cabinet Mountain and found three unknown people had slipped inside ahead of him.

  • Luo Bin explained that he would face the danger at Cabinet Mountain, while Luo Feng prepared to leave the village with Gu Ya, Shan Luo, and Shang Liuli.
  • Luo Bin hid near the village entrance and waited for Cabinet Mountain Taoist Grounds disciples to arrive, then followed them after Fourth Master Gray summoned Mountain Rats.
  • Luo Bin and Fourth Master Gray followed the disciples toward Headless General Mountain and watched three unknown people emerge from behind a boulder and enter the mist.
  • Fourth Master Gray controlled Luo Bin’s body as they passed through the mist and avoided the evil spirits within it.
  • Luo Bin restored Fourth Master Gray’s strength with the benevolent Pill Corpse, applied another Spirit-Inviting Talisman, and headed farther into Cabinet Mountain.

Ch. 1382Two-Legged Sheep, Old Kong

Yuan Yinxin ordered Cabinet Mountain sealed and launched a search for Luo Bin and the others, while a disguised creature attacked him in the Main Hall. Luo Bin continued across the mountain and encountered Old Kong and Zhong Zhicheng among the Two-Legged Sheep, leaving Zhong Zhicheng staring at Luo Bin’s clothes in shock.

  • Yuan Yinxin ordered Yuan Yi to seal Cabinet Mountain and told Yuan Lu to hunt down the people from the Heavenly Mechanism Taoist Grounds.
  • A transformed Yuan Ming attacked Yuan Yinxin, who struck back with a square seal.
  • Luo Bin slept safely at the fourth Resting Place, then left after feeling watched and came upon a barricaded area.
  • Old Kong appeared as a Two-Legged Sheep and warned Luo Bin away, but other Two-Legged Sheep charged him.
  • Zhong Zhicheng shot the attacking Two-Legged Sheep and led his group to rescue it from the thorn wire.
  • Zhong Zhicheng asked Luo Bin where he had come from, then stared at his clothes in surprise.

Ch. 1383Map of Cabinet Mountain!

Luo Bin reached Qiang Village, where he reunited with Zhong Zhicheng and the Able-Bodied Team. After revealing Old Kong as a human trapped in a Two-Legged Sheep disguise, Luo Bin asked Zhong Zhicheng for a map of the mountain and began drawing one from memory.

  • Luo Bin told Zhong Zhicheng that several members of the Heavenly Mechanism Taoist Grounds had escaped and explained that he had been separated from them.
  • Zhong Zhicheng explained why his group had stayed in Qiang Village and agreed to give Luo Bin everything they knew about the mountain.
  • Luo Bin used a Primordial Fiend-Subduing Talisman to reveal that the Two-Legged Sheep was Old Kong, then gave Zhong Zhicheng medicine and promised to leave more talismans.
  • Chen Yu led Luo Bin to a cave, where Luo Bin examined the writing on the wall and recalled his earlier visit to Qiang Village.
  • Luo Bin began drawing a map from memory, marking Zhongling Village, Ancient Town Village, and the mountain range.

Ch. 1384Kong An

Luo Bin reconstructed a detailed map from his memories and handed Zhong Zhicheng the task of filling in the remaining locations. Meanwhile, Kong An traveled to congratulate Sinpo Muye, where Sinpos Baqin and Zhan Si treated him as a subordinate rather than an equal.

  • Luo Bin used Rewind to recover his memories of Cabinet Mountain Village and began mapping its landmarks and routes onto the mountain map.
  • Zhong Zhicheng arrived and was astonished by Luo Bin’s accurate map, which included Cabinet Mountain Village, the scouting route, and Qiang Village.
  • Luo Bin gave Zhong Zhicheng a dagger and asked him to fill in the remaining locations accurately.
  • Kong An led a procession of Black Rakshasas toward the monastery of Sinpo Muye, putting aside his preparations to contact two deities.
  • Kong An greeted Sinpos Baqin and Zhan Si, but Baqin’s restrained greeting and Zhan Si’s Chinese speech made clear that they did not regard him as an equal.
  • Zhan Si recalled Kong An’s unfinished monastery project, and Baqin framed Kong An as his subordinate while both men showed contemptuous satisfaction.

Ch. 1385There is no place for you

Kong An and the other Sinpos waited at Black City Monastery as Mao Yousan and Luo Xianshen arrived nearby, then left without meeting them. Luo Muye learned they had departed and ordered offerings prepared before Dibe Yum was invited back.

  • Kong An’s former Chief Seat silenced Kong An’s Black Rakshasas, and Baqin and Zhan Si waited with the Sinpos for more visitors.
  • Kong An sensed watchers at the foot of the hill and silently repeated the titles of allies he recognized.
  • Mao Yousan and Luo Xianshen discussed the visitors coming to verify Luo Muye’s identity, then Mao Yousan left with the five Dao Corpses while avoiding the approaching guests.
  • Mao Yousan sensed a presence among the Dao Corpses and used five talismans before the black aura vanished.
  • Zhan Si told Kong An that one of the departing Taoists had recently beaten several Living Buddhas, and Kong An fell silent with his prayer beads.
  • Luo Muye heard that the visitors had left and ordered the offerings fetched before Dibe Yum was invited back.
