Ch. 1626I'm Afraid I Can't Step Aside

Seven Dust Taoist discovered the danger spreading through Divine Firmament Mountain and ordered the disciples to evacuate after examining their souls. As he sought a private word with Luo Bin, Luo Bin refused to step aside.

  • Seven Dust Taoist drew the souls from Bai Xiannan, Bai Chuanyun, Si Yan, Bai Xian, and others, confirming that Bai Xiaoshan had been taken over by a Heaven-Veiling Object.
  • Seven Dust Taoist explained that Divine Firmament Mountain's misplaced priorities had let the Heaven-Veiling Objects spread, then ordered the elders to examine the disciples and evacuate the mountain.
  • Luo Bin realized that Bai Xiaoshan had tried to destroy an opening in the mountain's formation, which could have freed the Heaven-Veiling Objects.
  • The elders reported that several dozen disciples had fled and that the remaining disciples were unharmed, then led them away to gather their belongings.
  • Seven Dust Taoist asked Luo Bin to speak with him privately, but Luo Bin refused to step aside.

Ch. 1627A Seed of Disaster for Divine Firmament Mountain!

Bai Xiaoshan resisted the rogue immortal as Bai Xian, Si Yan, Luo Xianshen, and Seven Dust Taoist chanted the Five Purifications Curse, briefly restoring his clarity. The rogue immortal regained control and forced the others to confront a choice that could fracture Divine Firmament Mountain, leaving Luo Bin to recognize its true aim: planting a seed of disaster within the sect.

  • Luo Xianshen ordered Seven Dust Taoist not to sacrifice himself and commanded Divine Firmament Mountain’s unaffected members to leave with him for Four-Rules Mountain.
  • Bai Xian urged Bai Xiaoshan to hold to his Dao heart, then began chanting the Five Purifications Curse with Si Yan, Luo Xianshen, and Seven Dust Taoist.
  • The chanting weakened middle corpse white, and Bai Xiaoshan regained enough control to beg the others to kill him.
  • Luo Bin and Luo Xianshen tried to pull the rogue immortal’s skin from Bai Xiaoshan, but Seven Dust Taoist stopped Luo Xianshen before the creature could take him.
  • The rogue immortal regained control of Bai Xiaoshan and demanded that they choose between killing him and killing the possessed man.
  • Luo Bin realized the rogue immortal wanted to make Seven Dust Taoist or Luo Xianshen damage their relationships with Divine Firmament Mountain and seed disaster within it.

Ch. 1628Abbey Master Qichen, may I speak with you in private?

Luo Bin stopped Luo Xianshen and Seven Dust Taoist from killing Bai Xiaoshan, insisting that he be left alive while the Rogue Immortal still possessed him. As Divine Firmament Mountain evacuated, Luo Bin realized Seven Dust Taoist was secretly planning to alter the formation and risk his own life, but Seven Dust Taoist refused to discuss it.

  • Luo Bin recited the Three-Altars Great Precepts over Bai Xiaoshan, then formed a Hexagram Seal and ordered everyone to leave him alive.
  • Luo Xianshen and Seven Dust Taoist accepted Luo Bin’s decision, and Bai Xian wept with relief as Luo Bin continued chanting through the night.
  • Bai Xiannan and Bai Chuanyun returned with the disciples, and Luo Bin told them Bai Xiaoshan remained present but had to rely on his own willpower.
  • Seven Dust Taoist ordered the disciples to evacuate Divine Firmament Mountain, and the group descended by an unfamiliar path across Jade Clarity Peak.
  • Luo Bin asked Seven Dust Taoist to speak privately, but Seven Dust Taoist refused and insisted they leave the mountain before discussing anything.
  • Luo Bin concluded that Seven Dust Taoist intended to tamper with the formation and might die, but he stayed silent when Seven Dust Taoist would not engage with him.

Ch. 1629Chen Hongming, the Heaven-Mountain Escape Hexagram!

Seven Dust Taoist revealed the dilapidated temple that served as the nexus holding back the Heaven-Veiling Object and explained why he had to remain there. Luo Bin disclosed that Chen Hongming’s hexagram was Heaven-Mountain Escape, then challenged Seven Dust Taoist about what he had left for him and Divine Firmament Mountain.

  • Seven Dust Taoist led the group to the temple at Divine Firmament Mountain’s foot and revealed that it was the nexus protecting the mountain from the Heaven-Veiling Object.
  • After the disciples settled in, Luo Bin told Luo Xianshen that he intended to persuade Seven Dust Taoist to leave, and Old Gong explained that Seven Dust Taoist wanted to stay for reasons beyond the Rogue Immortal.
  • Luo Xianshen proposed having Real Persons guard the temple, but Seven Dust Taoist said Chen Hongming remained a danger and that the escaped Divine Yin Spirits could return.
  • Luo Bin told Seven Dust Taoist that the Divine Yin Spirits were with his Revered Master and that Chen Hongming’s hexagram was Heaven-Mountain Escape.
  • Old Gong interpreted the hexagram as a sign that Chen Hongming could evade danger and might be trying to control the Rogue Immortal, while Luo Bin insisted fate could be changed.
  • Luo Bin asked Old Gong what he thought he had left Chen Hongming, then asked Seven Dust Taoist what he thought Luo Bin had left Divine Firmament Mountain.

Ch. 1630The Rogue Immortal's Savagery, Slaying Immortals and Purging Evil (Bonus chapter for Master Yuan Yinxin)

Luo Bin’s contingency turned the Rogue Immortal who had devoured Bai Xiaoshan against Chen Hongming by exploiting its obsession with the three-altars great precepts. Bai Xiaoshan killed the Rogue Immortals in the Main Hall and pursued Chen Hongming, then sensed another presence within himself.

  • Luo Bin revealed a scrap of the Jade Clarity Peak Master’s flesh and urged Old Gong to eat it as his divination seal began to tremble.
  • Chen Hongming arrived at the Divine Firmament Peak Main Hall, freed Bai Xiaoshan, and told him to persuade the disciples to destroy the formation nexus.
  • Bai Xiaoshan kept chanting the three-altars great precepts, then seized Chen Hongming and killed him with a Thunder Method strike.
  • Bai Xiaoshan unleashed Taoist Arts and slaughtered the Rogue Immortals in the Main Hall, driven by the precepts’ obsession with purging evil.
  • Bai Xiaoshan pursued Chen Hongming and then sensed something within himself, splitting the skin on his forehead to reveal another layer beneath.

Ch. 1631The Three Peng Differ: The Strong Kill in Fury, the Weak Turn Insidious

Chen Hongming hid in the Lower Scholar Shrine after releasing rogue immortals, convinced Divine Firmament Mountain would deal with them without him. As he fled toward the sealed caves at Body-Release Cliff, the rogue immortals caught and devoured him, while more gathered in the passage.

  • Inside the temple, Luo Bin, Luo Xianshen, and Seven Dust Taoist shared Old Gong’s perceptions and realized the danger surrounding Chen Hongming and Bai Xiaoshan.
  • Chen Hongming recalled how resentment at being sidelined on Divine Firmament Mountain drove him to release rogue immortals and leave the crisis for others to solve.
  • From his hiding place in the Lower Scholar Shrine, Chen Hongming watched events unfold and realized that the situation had spiraled out of control.
  • Chen Hongming left through a hidden passage and headed toward the sealed caves at Body-Release Cliff, hoping to find a place to hide.
  • Two rogue immortals disguised as Chen Hongming approached him, and another emerged from the hole and swallowed him.
  • More rogue immortals filled the passage, including one whose features briefly showed an even stronger air of sanctimonious righteousness than Bai Xiaoshan’s before turning blank.

Ch. 1632Spirit creatures veiled the heavens-and so did humans!

Luo Bin reconsidered the origins of Heaven-Veiling Objects and began to suspect that both powerful spirit creatures and humans could veil the heavens. Old Gong’s hints led him to connect the objects to extraordinary beings and terrifying events, leaving him shaken by the possibility that some had emerged from people or their bodies.

  • Luo Xianshen asked when Heaven-Veiling Objects first appeared, and Luo Bin said Primordial Calculation might know.
  • Old Gong urged Luo Bin to think through what he already knew, prompting him to compare Heaven-Veiling Objects across different mountains.
  • Luo Bin concluded that mountain spirits and wild creatures could veil the heavens, and wondered whether humans could do so as well.
  • Old Gong described how heavenly lightning struck powerful immortals and suggested that Mao Yousan might have unknowingly become the person he had been searching for.
  • Luo Bin connected the Three Miao Mountain Range’s Gu Plague to the Nuo God Temple and questioned whether some Heaven-Veiling Objects had originated from extraordinary beings or their bodies.

Ch. 1633Rather than become a yang spirit, he became a ghost-Qichen's final letter!

Seven Dust Taoist became a false divine yin spirit rather than leave Divine Firmament Mountain, and Luo Bin read his blood-written letter explaining his choice. His transformation left the disciples free to decide whether to join Four-Rules Mountain.

  • Bai Lushu brought Luo Bin and Luo Xianshen food as they discussed whether Mao Yousan was following them.
  • Seven Dust Taoist emerged from the temple as a clear-spirit ghost, while his living body remained inside and became a corpse.
  • Luo Xianshen found a blood-written letter beside Seven Dust Taoist and handed it to Luo Bin.
  • Luo Bin read Qichen's letter, which said he had wanted Luo Xianshen to make a Flesh-and-Blood Talisman but no longer needed him to sacrifice anyone because Bai Shanxiao might survive.
  • Qichen explained that he could not leave Divine Firmament Mountain and would let its disciples choose freely whether to leave for Four-Rules Mountain.

Ch. 1634Divine Firmament divided, kill to end the threat!

After Seven Dust Taoist’s letter allowed Divine Firmament Mountain’s followers to choose their own paths, Luo Xianshen received ritual artifacts and led the disciples who stayed toward Four-Rules Mountain. As Luo Bin fell behind the departing group, Seven Dust Taoist silently told him to “Kill. End the threat!”

  • Luo Bin handed Seven Dust Taoist’s blood-written letter to Bai Lushu, and the elders read its message allowing Divine Firmament Mountain’s followers to split into factions.
  • Luo Bin helped Luo Xianshen place Seven Dust Taoist’s body on the temple platform, where Luo Xianshen took a Divine Firmament Four Sovereigns Mirror and nine Command Talismans.
  • Fourth Master Gray jumped onto the statue of the Divine Firmament Jade Purity True King, and Seven Dust Taoist’s Yin Spirit struck him and scorched his tail and backside.
  • Divine Firmament Mountain’s followers divided into two groups; Luo Xianshen let Bai Jinlou and his followers leave without trying to persuade them to stay.
  • Luo Xianshen promised to establish a Divine Firmament Jade Clarity Hall at Four-Rules Mountain, and Bai Xian learned that Bai Guanli and Bai Rujun were among the elders who had stayed.
  • As the group set off, Luo Bin saw Seven Dust Taoist at the temple entrance silently mouth, “Kill. End the threat!”

Ch. 1635Below Three Incense Mountain, Bai Feng blocked the way!

Luo Bin and the others continued toward Four-Rules Mountain while planning to rescue Xu Lu from Black City Monastery. As the crowded procession left Three Incense Mountain, Bai Feng and Bai Jinlou appeared to block their path.

  • Luo Bin secretly warned Bai Jinlou to flee Seven Dust Taoist's planned purge, and later learned that Bai Jinlou's group had vanished from the area.
  • Bai Xian told Luo Bin, Si Yan, and Luo Xianshen that Xu Lu had become Black City Monastery's Deputy Chief Seat, prompting them to plan a careful rescue.
  • Old Gong warned that Xu Lu might be transformed into a deity and would need to be examined after his rescue, while Si Yan volunteered to handle the examination.
  • Luo Bin and Luo Xianshen arranged to contact Gui City and Four-Rules Mountain once the procession regained a signal, intending to avoid trouble on the way.
  • As the group reached a narrow mountain pass while leaving Three Incense Mountain, Bai Feng, Bai Jinlou, and several True Cultivator elders blocked the path.

Ch. 1636Using death as bait!

Bai Feng ambushed Luo Bin and Luo Xianshen’s group, threatening the people with them unless they surrendered ritual artifacts. Luo Bin realized Seven Dust Taoist had used his death as bait to expose the hidden Yin Spirits, but the group left after handing over the demanded artifacts to prevent a massacre.

  • Bai Feng confronted the group and demanded one Divine Firmament Four Sovereigns Mirror and either the Clear Radiance Five Directions Thunder Seal or the Nine Heavens Universalized Thunder Decree, threatening to kill their people if they refused.
  • Luo Bin realized Seven Dust Taoist had anticipated a Yin Spirit escaping Mao Yousan’s roundup and had used his death to draw the hidden danger out.
  • Bai Jinlou backed Bai Feng’s demands and threatened the group with falling boulders, while warning Luo Xianshen not to move.
  • Siyan surrendered one Divine Firmament Four Sovereigns Mirror, and Luo Xianshen handed over the Clear Radiance Five Directions Thunder Seal.
  • Bai Feng and the Real Person elders departed with the artifacts, and Luo Bin explained that they had surrendered to prevent people from being killed.

Ch. 1637Real Persons and False Yin Spirits-Kill Them and End the Threat!

Luo Bin, Luo Xianshen, and Si Yan pursued Bai Feng and four Real Person elders, only to discover that two elders were possessed by false Yin Spirits. Luo Bin countered one possession with his hexagram arts and gu silkworm gold, but Si Yan remained under pressure as the battle continued.

  • Luo Bin left the disciples in the elders’ protection and pursued Bai Feng with Luo Xianshen and Si Yan, using Fourth Master Gray to speed his advance.
  • Bai Feng confronted the trio in a clearing and attacked with four Real Person elders, while Luo Bin held back the White Flower Lantern to avoid its destruction.
  • The attackers split their assault, and Luo Bin summoned the Heart-Rending Hell Wardens to trap the Real Person who charged him.
  • Luo Bin used a spoken hexagram to strike one of Si Yan’s opponents and realized that two elders were possessed by false Yin Spirits.
  • Gu silkworm gold shielded Luo Bin from the hexagram’s backlash, weakening the possessed elder and easing the pressure on Si Yan.
  • The possessed elder abandoned Si Yan and attacked Luo Bin, but the Ghost Prison attack tore open his chest as a pure spirit ghost struggled to escape.

Ch. 1638The weakest wasn't Luo Bin!

Luo Bin turned the battle against Divine Firmament Mountain’s false Yin Spirits with his Gu Worms, Heart-Rending Hell, and Black-Gold Toad. Though badly wounded, he secretly controlled Bai Zhangyang, who struck down the elder attacking Si Yan.

  • The Heart-Rending Hell Warden and Ghost restrained the Real Person Elders, while Luo Xianshen and Si Yan struggled against Bai Feng and the others.
  • Luo Bin poisoned the Real Person Elder attacking him with Gu Worms, forcing the false Yin Spirit out of his body, and the Black-Gold Toad pinned it down.
  • The Heart-Rending Hell Ghost tore open another elder’s chest as Luo Bin’s Gu Worms devoured the abandoned body.
  • Luo Bin revealed that he had secretly gained control of Bai Zhangyang, making him strike Luo Bin and appear to turn against his allies.
  • Bai Zhangyang rushed toward Si Yan and cut off the head of the elder who had ordered him to attack her.

Ch. 1639He wouldn't force a deal, but I never learned that rule

Luo Bin captured two false Yin Spirits and killed the Real Person Elders who hosted them, while Luo Xianshen continued fighting the remaining attackers. After Bai Zhangyang’s death, Luo Bin realized Bai Jinlou and another elder were summoning patriarchs to possess them, and ordered the group to find them.

  • Luo Bin used the black-gold toad and Jade Star Qimen Compass to suppress a false Yin Spirit, then sealed it away as lamp oil.
  • Luo Bin captured another false Yin Spirit with the Hanging Turtle Mirror and Bone-Nailing Crane after the Heart-Rending Hell Wardens killed its host.
  • Luo Bin questioned Bai Zhangyang about Bai Jinlou’s whereabouts, but Bai Zhangyang denounced Four-Rules Mountain and vowed revenge.
  • Luo Bin’s gu worms attacked Bai Zhangyang, and Si Yan struck his neck while Fourth Master Gray mutilated him, killing him.
  • Luo Bin ordered the others to find Bai Jinlou and another elder because they were summoning patriarchs to possess them.

Ch. 1640The arrival of two Patriarchs!

Luo Bin realized Bai Feng and the elders were stalling until the Patriarchs arrived, while Si Yan’s Thunder Arts freed Luo Xianshen to act. Two Yang Spirit Patriarchs appeared and attacked Luo Bin, whose transformed body saved him from a fatal sword wound.

  • Luo Bin recognized that Bai Feng’s group had been buying time for the Patriarchs and ran toward the escaped Yin Spirit Patriarch’s location.
  • Si Yan used the Four Spirit Summoning Incantation and Eight Thunder Spirit Incantation to strike Bai Feng and another Real Person Elder, then told Luo Xianshen to set up the altar and slay the Yin Spirits.
  • Luo Bin was pierced by a bronze sword, but moss and other entities emerging from his transformed body pulled it free and kept him alive.
  • Bai Jinlou and the Real Person Elder who had taken the Divine Firmament Four Seas Mirror and Qinghui Five Directions Thunder Seal appeared as Yang Spirit Patriarchs.
  • Bai Jinlou and Ganghuan discussed Divine Firmament Mountain’s calamity and the Six Yin Jades maiden, and Ganghuan said Luo Bin should be taught to remain at the mountain rather than join the Four Rules.

Ch. 1641Beneath Yang Spirit Thunder, a Life Risked to Save Another!

Bai Huan Gang and Bai Yanshan attacked Luo Bin while Luo Xianshen struggled to invite a Patriarch to possess him. An unknown person took Bai Huan Gang’s heavenly thunder strike for Luo Bin and was left charred, while Luo Xianshen remained injured and unable to summon help.

  • Bai Yanshan attacked Luo Bin with a sword as Si Yan held Bai Feng and the others back and Luo Xianshen struggled to invite a Patriarch.
  • Grudge Infant Moss Eaters and other creatures tried to intercept the sword, while the black shadow forced Luo Bin upright and Bai Huan Gang targeted him with a thunder seal.
  • The six-thread golden silkworm gu and black-gold toad deflected the thunder seal, but Bai Huan Gang summoned a powerful heavenly thunder strike.
  • Si Yan lost control of Bai Feng and his companion, who wounded her, as an unknown person hurled Luo Bin out of danger and took the thunder strike in his place.
  • Luo Bin landed injured and saw the unknown rescuer charred by the thunder while Luo Xianshen continued coughing blood and struggling to summon a Patriarch.

Ch. 1642Bai Zi's wrath! Two treacherous disciples!

Luo Xianshen’s body became the vessel for Bai Zi, who attacked the possessed Bai Feng and the other elders before confronting Bai Huan Gang and Bai Yanshan. Bai Zi defeated the two treacherous disciples, then turned his blazing gaze toward something behind Luo Bin.

  • Fourth Master Gray refused to leave Luo Bin, who fled toward Luo Xianshen with a Spirit-Inviting Talisman.
  • Bai Huan Gang and Bai Yanshan killed the charred man with another strike of Heavenly Thunder as Luo Bin hurried past.
  • Luo Xianshen stood and seized Bai Feng, revealing that Bai Zi had possessed him and intended to punish his disciples himself.
  • Bai Zi immobilized Bai Feng and another Real Person Elder with the High Heaven Sword and High Heaven Pestle, then attacked Bai Huan Gang and Bai Yanshan.
  • Bai Zi overwhelmed the possessed disciples with Taoist arts, killing Bai Yanshan’s host and interrupting both Yang Spirit possessions.
  • Bai Zi looked past Luo Bin at something behind him, briefly making Luo Bin feel the Yang Spirit’s pressure.

Ch. 1643The one that got away

After surviving the battle, Luo Bin discovered that Miao Zi had returned as a Gu-Bound Person and learned the cost of Luo Xianshen’s spirit possession. While Luo Bin gathered the dead and their ritual implements, he realized one enemy had escaped and rushed after them.

  • Luo Xianshen’s possession ended, leaving him injured and exhausted, while Luo Bin found the thunder-surviving Miao Zi emerging from the crater.
  • Luo Bin recognized Miao Zi as a Gu-Bound Person controlled by twelve Golden Silkworm Gu and warned him not to touch the six-thread golden silkworm gu.
  • The Black-Gold Toad remained alive but scorched, and Luo Bin picked up the weakened six-thread golden silkworm gu and hid it in his hair.
  • Si Yan said Luo Xianshen would recover, and Luo Bin gathered the bodies and returned the Qinghui Five Directions Thunder Seal and Shenxiao Fourfold Command Mirror to her.
  • Luo Bin counted the dead and realized one person had escaped, then sprinted after them.

Ch. 1644The ambush behind the ambush, Seven Dust's sword

After Seven Dust Taoist’s sword killed the last hidden Yin Spirit, Si Yan entrusted his sword and a Divine Firmament Four Sovereigns Mirror to the Divine Firmament Mountain disciples who chose to leave. As Luo Xianshen remained unconscious, Luo Bin examined Miao Zi and asked Si Yan for a porcelain bottle.

  • Luo Bin found the corpses of three Yin Spirits and a beheaded Real Person, then discovered Seven Dust Taoist’s sword had killed the Yin Spirit hiding in the bushes.
  • Divine Firmament Mountain disciples arrived, and Si Yan argued that Seven Dust Taoist’s deaths had broken the corrupt leadership’s hold and left the disciples to choose their own path.
  • Si Yan gave the departing disciples Seven Dust Abbey Master’s sword and a Divine Firmament Four Sovereigns Mirror, and most of them left while roughly thirty percent stayed.
  • Si Yan sent the remaining disciples to carry the bodies toward Three Incense Mountain, while Fourth Master Gray went with them.
  • With Luo Xianshen still unconscious, Luo Bin examined Miao Zi’s growing hair and fingernails, took a porcelain bottle from Si Yan, and asked Miao Zi to show his hand.

Ch. 1645Four-Rules Mountain!

Luo Bin and Luo Xianshen brought the displaced Divine Firmament Mountain disciples and villagers to Four-Rules Mountain, where Abbey Master He Youtian welcomed the White Clan. As Luo Bin worried over Mao Yousan’s unexplained plans, a mysterious purple-robed Taoist appeared inside the Mountain Gate.

  • Luo Xianshen, Si Yan, and Luo Bin returned to Three Incense Mountain and organized the evacuation of Divine Firmament Mountain’s disciples and villagers.
  • Luo Bin and Luo Xianshen contacted the relevant forces, and over nearly three days the group transported everyone to Four-Rules Mountain while Old Gong’s spectral prison kept the villagers from going outside.
  • Bai Xian joined Luo Bin’s group on the journey, and they reached Four-Rules Mountain after about three days of travel.
  • He Youtian welcomed the White Clan, praised Luo Bin’s help to Luo Xianshen, and invited Mao Yousan to visit the mountain.
  • Old Gong warned that Mao Yousan might be creating new entities from Yin spirits and false Yin spirits, while Luo Bin asked what had happened to Guo Sanhe.
  • Luo Bin entered Four-Rules Mountain with Luo Xianshen and He Youtian, then saw a purple-robed Taoist whose presence seemed even more imposing than He Youtian’s.
