The Heaven and Earth Mirror could observe everything beneath the heavens, so examining a mere formation was well within its capabilities.
But the surrounding sect masters and elders were still seething.

The Grand Cloud Sect Master spoke sternly.
Of course he was furious. Unlike the other sects, everyone from the Grand Cloud Sect had drawn a place in this round.
He had just taken a careful look and discovered that every single one of their competitors had been sent out by that elder.
In other words, their sect's run had ended here. They would not even have a chance to compete in the next round. This was utterly outrageous!

"Could there be some misunderstanding?" Some elders felt that the North Ridge Sacred Ground could not possibly do such a thing. After all, its reputation had been excellent for all these years.
There was no reason to make things difficult for the other sects at such a critical moment, was there? Wouldn't that be handing others a weapon to use against them?
Some felt that the North Ridge Sacred Ground would never do anything so foolish.
Yet so many people spoke with absolute certainty, and so many elders were incandescent with rage, that they fell silent. They simply watched the North Ridge Holy Lord along with everyone else, waiting for an explanation.
"Everyone, please be patient. Once we see exactly what happened, you'll understand the reason."
The North Ridge Holy Lord looked utterly helpless as well.
