The group sat aboard the flying boat, watching as it slowly descended. The enormous vessel gave off a low hum as it landed.
Lan Yue stood on tiptoe to look at the scenery outside, understanding dawning on her.
Clusters of islands came into view beneath a gray, hazy sky, with wisps of mist drifting past from time to time.
Beyond the islands, the vast, surging sea shared the same hue as the sky, and spirit birds circled overhead.
"On this expedition, you must be cautious. Don't recklessly rush ahead in pursuit of glory, and never underestimate anything within the ruins!" Elder Duanmu cautioned them from the side.
The little sprouts all nodded in unison, each agreeing more enthusiastically than the last. Their bright, dark eyes brimmed with eagerness, and they wished they could charge over right now to see what those legendary ruins looked like.
Farther away, the older senior brothers and sisters held their weapons, looking much more cautious.
"Thank you for the reminder, Elder Duanmu."
Elder Duanmu nodded slightly. With a wave of his hand, the enormous spirit boat vanished into thin air.
The group landed on Spirit-Denuded Island's pitch-black soil. Looking at this unfamiliar land, they spoke with deep emotion.
"These ruins only allow people below the Golden Core Stage to enter. We're stuck at Foundation Establishment right now. Perhaps we'll find a fortuitous opportunity inside, obtain an inheritance, and soar to the heavens in a single flight."
"I've been stuck at the peak of Foundation Establishment for ages, too. Maybe I'll be able to form my core once I leave the ruins on Spirit-Denuded Island!"
"Unexplored ruins are usually full of dangers. Who knows how many of us will return this time?"
