Gu Xing Lei saw Zhang Yang sink into thought and did not disturb him, simply waiting in silence.
He looked quite calm on the surface, but inwardly, he was excited too. Meeting someone from his homeland here-especially someone who had done even better than he had-made it hard not to get excited.
Especially since there was no conflict of interest between them. They were both Star Lords, ruling over billions of living beings, with nothing to set their interests at odds.
After reflecting for a while, Zhang Yang noticed that Gu Xing Lei was still watching him. He gently raised his wine cup, clinked it against the other man's, and drained it in one go.
Gu Xing Lei laughed heartily. "Hahaha! I really never imagined that two transmigrators could meet so harmoniously. I used to wonder what it would be like if you ran into me, or I ran into you."
"Would we come to blows? Or help each other?"
"I couldn't be sure before, but once you became a Fifth-Level Star Lord, I knew we would be friends, not enemies."
Zhang Yang pointed at him. "You, honestly! What a sly fox. You've been spying on me in secret all this time."
"Hahahahaha!"
After they chatted for a while, Gu Xing Lei hesitated. "Lord Star Lord, there's something I'm not sure I should ask."
Zhang Yang immediately raised a hand to stop him. "Call me Old Zhang, or call me your fellow countryman. Just don't call me Lord Star Lord. Are you trying to embarrass me?"
"Let's go by our ages in our previous lives. I was twenty-eight. How old were you?"
Gu Xing Lei replied, "Ah, I was twenty-seven, younger than you. Then I'll presume to call you Brother Zhang!"
Zhang Yang glanced at him, knowing that he was
