At the sight of the Human Race's deafening cheers below, the white clouds in the sky slowly formed a smiling face.

The animals on Blue Star were still playing and chasing one another, while the Human Race on the ground roared even louder when they saw the clouds change.

Night fell.

Having received the images transmitted by Zhang Yang, the tribal chief began making preparations.

Following the images, he began drilling wood to make fire. Most of the wood used for this was fire-drill wood. As the tribal chief kept rolling the drill between his palms, a tiny flame sprang to life on the cotton fluff.

The tribespeople gathered around him watched the flame come into being. Wild with excitement, they circled their chief!

Ee-ya! Ee-ya-ya-ya!

The tribal chief hurriedly gathered more dry leaves and twigs from nearby. Looking at the fire before him, he pressed his palms together and knelt devoutly on the ground to pray.

When Zhang Yang saw the flame appear, he knew the planet's civilization had taken another great step forward.

The Human Race's ability to harness fire was a crucial milestone in human evolution.

Recalling humanity's ancient sages, he transmitted another thought: "Human Race, Sui, Suirenshi."

The tribal chief cried out excitedly, but he was also somewhat bewildered. He tried to say "Sui," yet could not pronounce it.

Knowing this was rather difficult for the primitive Human Race, Zhang Yang exerted his will. Fierce winds rose, and a circle appeared on the ground around the tribal chief.

The tribal chief grew excited, knowing Heaven was about to teach him more skills. He babbled at his tribe for a long while, and the tribespeople began maintaining order, dispersing everyone nearby and leaving a few people to guard their chief.

Looking at the tribal chief kneeling on the ground, Zhang Yang passed on some of the basic knowledge he possessed.

The days slipped by. Every day, tribespeople placed roasted meat before the chief, not daring to approach him.

The knowledge Zhang Yang imparted to the tribal chief centered on written words, teaching him what the characters meant.

This was not difficult for Zhang Yang. He simply projected an image directly into the chief's mind. Showing him a picture of a tree, Zhang Yang said, "Tree."

The tribal chief slowly repeated after him, "Tree!"

Zhang Yang then showed him some simple uses for wood, such as drilling it to make fire, building wooden houses, making wooden bows, and so on.

Three years passed like this. At last, the tribal chief learned the basic written characters and understood what they meant.

"Father, God, my, name!" the tribal chief suddenly stammered. Although his speech was still awkward, he managed to express his thoughts.

Zhang Yang thought for a moment, then pointed at a nearby tree. "Wood. Wood that can be drilled to make fire is called fire-drill wood."

"You made fire by drilling wood and made a great contribution to the Human Race. From now on, your name will be Sui!"

"Your tribe will be called Suirenshi."

"Your race is the Human Race!"

"Sui, I hope you will pass on the uses of fire and writing to the Human Race, and lead the Human Race toward a better future. Are you willing?"

Sui nodded vigorously and stammered, "Sui, is, willing!"

For three years, Zhang Yang had only taught him, never revealing his appearance. Once Sui finished answering, Zhang Yang vanished, and the circle on the ground disappeared as well.

Hearing no response, Sui answered a few more times. "Sui, is willing. Sui is willing!"

"Father, God!" Unable to hear that familiar reply, Sui called out urgently again and again, but received no answer.

Feeling forlorn, Sui sank to both knees and bowed toward the distance.

Over those three years, Zhang Yang had used energy points to strengthen Sui, making his body stronger and his mind sharper.

Sui wiped away his tears, then rose to his feet with resolve.

Ee-ya-ya!

Sui called out several times, and all the tribespeople emerged from their caves.

He drew a circle on the ground with a branch, then wrote the character for "human" inside it.

Pointing his stick at the character in the circle, he shouted, "Human!"

And so, Sui taught the tribespeople written characters and their meanings.

The days passed one after another.

Sui also taught his tribe how to drill wood to make fire, count with ropes, catch fish with nets, and hunt more efficiently.

Ten years passed like this.

Sui's tribe spread these written characters across the entire continent. They traveled in every direction, and wherever the Human Race lived, they learned of a tribe called Suirenshi, whose chief was named Sui!

They also learned their own identity—the Human Race!

They learned, too, that this planet was called Blue Star, and that they had a Father God!

Throughout the teaching process, they continually refined their own body of knowledge.

And so, Suirenshi spread knowledge throughout the continent, growing to more than ten branches.

They married and had children, giving rise to countless Human Race tribes.

More than twenty years passed like this.

The Human Race learned to use fire and no longer ate raw meat, further extending their lifespans. They also learned to fish and use other, more effective methods of hunting.

Sui had grown old. He was no longer young and was now almost seventy. No one else in the tribe had ever lived so long.

Some young people called him the "Fire Ancestor." Ever since receiving Father God's guidance and swearing to share all that knowledge with the Human Race, he had spent his life tirelessly traveling across Blue Star.

At thirty, he had married a female tribal chief-Yanzishi.

Sui taught this matriarchal tribe how to make fire and personally handed roasted meat to its female chief.

This universally beloved art of roasting meat captured Yanzishi's stomach, and they joined in marriage.

The two great tribes united, forming the earliest alliance through marriage and blood ties.

That was the Suiren-Yanzi-Hexiong Clan.

To his surprise, Sui discovered that Yanzishi could twist tree bark into rope.

Ropes could be used to tie up food and bind prey. Under Sui's guidance, Yanzishi began tying knots in ropes to count.

As things evolved later on, some also called Yanzishi Huaxushi.

Gradually, Sui could no longer walk very far. He could only remain in the tribe, teaching his son, Fuxi, and his daughter, Nuwa.

His children were far cleverer than he was. Not only did they absorb all his skills, they could infer three things from one, creating even more skills from the scattered words they learned from Sui.

A few more years passed.

Both children were ambitious. Fuxi gradually took command of all the patriarchal tribes, succeeding Sui as the tribe's new chief.

Nuwa took over her mother Yanzishi's position as chief, leading all the matriarchal tribes under heaven.

Sui felt that his end was near. His few remaining teeth had fallen out, and he had eaten nothing for two days.

He had lost the ability to walk months earlier and could only lie on a wooden bed.

He looked back on his life. Once an ignorant savage, he had been fortunate enough to receive Father God's guidance and learn writing, fire-making, and other skills.

Because of him, the Human Race had ended its days of eating raw flesh and drinking blood, and he had made an immense contribution to the development of civilization on Blue Star.

He was honored by the Human Race as the "Fire Ancestor."

Later generations honored him as the "Heavenly Sovereign."

Sui murmured to himself, "Father God, I did not fail your expectations. I completed my task."

"I'm so tired. At last, I can rest." As his words faded, Sui slowly closed his eyes.

Wails filled the lands of Blue Star as everyone honored him as the "Fire Ancestor."

High in the sky, Zhang Yang looked at Sui with sorrow and exerted his will.

The clear sky suddenly erupted with fierce winds, flashing lightning, and rolling thunder, and a torrential downpour came crashing down.
