After carefully considering Godo's proposed tactics, Charm Spider gave a slight nod. "Your insight is right on the mark, General Godo. If I hadn't heard your analysis, I would certainly have stationed our forces on Intermoon Star."
Godo continued, "More importantly, your Insect Race is unfamiliar with the terrain there. A reckless breakout would only inflict heavy losses on your forces." Charm Spider asked, "If you were commanding the Insect Race right now, what would you do?"
Godo froze for a moment, then hurriedly saluted. "I'm sorry, but we have an agreement. I won't help fight the coalition."
Charm Spider smiled. "I'm afraid you've misunderstood, General Godo. We're merely discussing tactics. I haven't asked the Modo Race's warriors to deploy, have I?"
Mude tried to persuade him from the side. "Don't forget, we've surrendered now, so we're part of the Insect Race too. Discussing tactics hardly violates the agreement."
Charm Spider shook her head. "Forget it, then. Since Lord Godo is unwilling, I'll make the arrangements myself."
Charm Spider told the Matriarch beside her, "Order the entire army to pursue them. Trap them on Intermoon Star until they die."
But Godo suddenly stopped her. "You mustn't!"
Charm Spider gave a sly smile. "What do you mean, General Godo? Didn't you just say we should trap them in the Intermoon Galaxy? Why can't we do that now?"
Godo struggled to hold back, but finally said, "If you attack now and drive them onto Intermoon Star, even the coalition will realize what's happening, no matter how stupid they are. What will you do if they turn toward that asteroid instead?"
Charm Spider nodded and asked, "So we should just sit here and watch them escape? What if they head for that asteroid rather than Intermoon Star?"
Godo looked at the star chart.
