Sophia was not at all surprised by Mimipa's astonishment.
She explained, "The troops passing through the parade grounds now are hevaracha mechanized units. They all have high-strength metal skeletons and powerful weapons. Unlike other mechanical races, they aren't controlled by a terminal. They're independent individuals."
Just then, seven insect-transformed mechanical tanks rolled through the parade grounds in a triangular formation. As Sophia led Mimipa toward the grounds, she explained:
"These are insect-transformed mechanical tanks. Not only do they rule the battlefield on land, they're also equipped with antiaircraft missiles. We generally deploy them in groups, which compensates for their weakness against aerial forces."
Mimipa pointed at the enormous beetles behind the tanks and asked, "What are those huge bugs?"
Sophia smiled. "These are Prism Scarabs. The prism barriers they project can block most physical attacks and even reflect the vast majority of energy attacks."
Mimipa turned to the adjutant behind him. "Can our prism tanks do that?"
His adjutant shook his head slightly, infuriating Mimipa so much that he wanted to slap him.
Sophia continued leading Mimipa upward. Suddenly, two shadowy figures wielding black longswords appeared in front of her.
They pointed at Sophia and demanded, "Matriarch Sophia, no one may proceed any farther without the Overlord's permission. Violators will be killed without exception."
Mimipa's guards drew their weapons, only for black longswords to appear against their necks in an instant.
Mimipa shouted, "What is the meaning of this?"
After glancing at Mimipa's expression, Sophia hurriedly apologized. "Since the incident with Plague, the Overlord has tightened security. These are simply his personal guards."
