When the Portal was completed, Zhang Fan gazed at the steel arch suspended in space, roughly 1,300 meters tall and 600 meters wide.
"This small? Even an {Emperor} couldn't fit through it. Were you only planning to let me send a few {Venom Bees} back?"
Neither Jiesang nor Nord dared answer Zhang Fan's challenge. Sinderson had been the Portal's principal builder, and when every gaze settled on him, he could only steel himself and speak.
"This is already the largest Portal in Ferandel's blueprints. Besides, a Portal requires an enormous amount of energy. Any larger, and the energy transmission would become extremely unstable."
Zhang Fan said with a trace of anger, "You call yourselves advanced civilizations, yet you can't develop a better Portal? Remember, this was built by the Blue Cardians, the supposedly inferior intelligent beings you look down on."
Sinderson could only shake his head. "Every field has its specialists. Their Portal technology really is superior to ours."
Shusha spoke up beside them. "There might be someone among the Resistance Army hiding on Ferandel who can build a larger Portal."
"Our Insect Race destroyed their planet, and you still expect them to help us build a Portal? I doubt they'll be that accommodating."
Shusha glanced at the three council elders standing behind Zhang Fan and smiled. "I imagine our friends from the Jinxiu Galaxy Council can find a way."
Zhang Fan turned and glared at the three of them. "Whichever of you can persuade the Blue Cardians to help us design and build a large Portal will be put in charge of the Brocade Galaxy."
Nord looked indifferent. After all, without their Bio-Boosted Armor, their warriors were practically turning into biological researchers.
Jiesang and Sinderson were another matter entirely. They exchanged glares, each knowing exactly what the other was
