However, Lin Ke could not possibly say any of that aloud.
He maintained his smile as he watched his technician number ninety-six... pah, master number ninety-six dismiss his spirit beasts.
Without a doubt, Lin Ke's ninety-sixth master had gained something, and so had begun changing his views on Beast Mastery.
Such a change was undoubtedly a good thing.
But watching it happen left Lin Ke positively green with envy!
Who did that?
Who did that?
Just to prove love mattered more than money, you threw away all your money?
Meanwhile, the spirit beasts were utterly baffled too.
Their master had suddenly summoned them, only to tell them... to get lost??
While the spirit beasts stood bewildered, Lin Ke seized the opportunity to speak.
"It seems your spirit beasts are all unwilling to leave, Teacher." Lin Ke stood up with a smile.
"Teacher, look how much they love and respect you. Your sincerity has moved them all. This is precisely what I meant by trading one true heart for another!"
As he spoke, Lin Ke looked at the Beast-Taming Studio Sect Master's face and saw a smile emerge on the middle-aged man's somewhat stern features.
"It was all my youthful arrogance. Only now have I understood the true Beast-Taming Path." The Beast-Taming Studio Sect Master stood as well, turning toward the green-robed maid beside him with a warm smile.
"Bi'er, what do you think?"
The maid called Bi'er instantly transformed into an enormous lizard.
Her true form was actually a lizard!
Lin Ke stared, dumbfounded.
The lizard the green-robed maid had become opened her cavernous, blood-red maw and spoke in a human voice. "Master, Bi'er has followed you for many years. I have long since been yours."
"Good." The Beast-Taming Studio Sect Master nodded with a smile.
Lin Ke remained silent.
