With a tiger's roar, the Purple-Patterned White Tiger set off with Lin Ke on his back.
Two Demon Beasts with ancient bloodlines remained to guard the place, with support from the Mountain Giant Banyan. That was enough.
He would visit Mantis Island, claim that ancient Sword Cultivator's inheritance, and subdue a whole horde of Demon Beasts!
At the water's edge, however, Lin Ke stopped.
"Master, I... I'm not very good at swimming..." the Purple-Patterned White Tiger said sheepishly. "That vulture who used to serve me was blasted to death by you."
Lin Ke was speechless. "So it's my fault?"
"No, no, no, it's all my fault." The Purple-Patterned White Tiger scratched his head.
Lin Ke climbed off the Purple-Patterned White Tiger and looked out over the boundless Cloud Dream Marsh.
Cloud Dream Marsh stretched endlessly, and he estimated that each of its large islands was at least as big as Hainan Island from his previous life.
The large islands were also separated by vast distances.
The relationship between his Great Wilderness Island and Mountain Island was more like that between Earth and the moon than Earth and Mars.
But the distance between Mountain Island and Mantis Island really was like that between Earth and Mars.
Over such a distance, flying and swimming were the only options. And merely knowing how to swim was not enough; it had to be the kind of swimming aquatic animals did.
Dog-paddling would never get him there.
"Let's go. We're heading into the water to catch Demon Beasts."
Lin Ke clapped his hands and summoned the Green Python and the Jade-Wave Three-Legged Frog.
Of their group, these two were the only ones with any affinity for water.
"Master."
