"Whoosh, whoosh-"
The water surged, and the wind whipped up towering waves.
Wave after wave crashed against the dam, yet the entire structure did not tremble in the slightest.
The Mountain Giant Banyan had probably adjusted the contours of the ground beneath it as well.
But Lin Ke and his two companions were no ordinary people, so naturally, they had no fear of such wind and waves.
They made their way to the center, where a flight of stairs led downward. Once they entered, the light grew somewhat dim.
From the inside, they could see that the dam was not solid.
One could even say that a thin earthen wall held back the pounding of the raging water outside in outright defiance of physics.
And all of this was thanks to the Mountain Giant Banyan's roots and the characters Jingang had inscribed.
Looking around the somewhat empty interior of the dam, Lin Ke considered how to put it to use.
If he remembered correctly, electromagnetic induction mainly required motion that cut across magnetic field lines.
To generate electricity, he would need waterwheels, using the force of the flowing water to spin them, then produce motion that cut across magnetic field lines and thereby generate electricity.
Lin Ke looked around. The holes at the bottom of the dam were draining water eastward; he would probably need to build a hundred or so waterwheels inside the dam.
And once those waterwheels began turning, he would need electrical circuits robust enough to handle that voltage and current.
He would need enormous quantities of iron, rubber, lodestone, and other materials.
Just as he had thought!
As soon as one problem was solved, countless new ones would follow.
Iron and lodestone were manageable enough. He could buy those.
Rubber, however, would probably require a trip
