Chang Qing looked a little listless when he came out. Shen Lian frowned, put down his prop sword, and went over to check his forehead. "Do you have a fever?"
"Caught a bit of a chill," Chang Qing said. "Forgot to close the window last night."
Despite that, he showed no sign of discomfort once filming began. They only had a few lines together before Immortal Venerable Restraining Intent perished. The protagonist flew forward, but all he grasped amid the scattering golden light was emptiness. Disbelieving grief flooded his eyes, tears welling up in an instant, only to settle into stillness after he closed his eyes and opened them again.
Watching up close, Shen Lian thought Chang Qing really was good.
