If looks could kill, Jiang Yumiao would have sliced Director Yang into pieces with his glare by now.
The director was deliberately trying to make him take off his glasses!
Naturally, Jiang Yumiao didn't want to keep wearing such ugly frames, either, but having everyone's eyes on him made him uncomfortable. Although no one there was egging him on to remove his glasses, he could still read intense curiosity in the guests' eyes.
Remembering the young man's tender, watery eyes in the mirror at noon only made Jiang Yumiao's headache worse. He still didn't know how to control the emotions in his gaze.
But if he didn't take them off, Ning Chunchi wouldn't be able to answer the question. Who knew what other strange questions Director Yang had prepared?
Whatever. It's just taking off a pair of glasses. So what if my eyes look a little too coy? Worst case, I'll put them right back on.
That was what Jiang Yumiao told himself as he took a deep breath and raised a hand toward his frames.
Ning Chunchi saw Jiang Yumiao's hesitation and resolve perfectly clearly. He had intended to skip the question, but since the Omega had made up his mind, he wouldn't stop him.
Even though he was deeply unwilling to share the sight hidden beneath those thick lenses with anyone else.
Jiang Yumiao closed his eyes first, gripped the right side of his frames with his right hand, and gently pulled.
The frames gradually slid down his nose, revealing the Omega's entire face to everyone present-and, through the cameras, to the screens of tens of thousands of viewers.
Jiang Yumiao opened his eyes.

The live comments froze for two seconds, then suddenly flooded the screen at a terrifying speed.
[Holy shit!]
[AAAAAAAH!]
[Is the girl who said President Ning deserved a gorgeous Omega still here?]
[I only stepped away for a minute. Is-is this Nobody????]
[I suddenly understand how important eyes are to a person's face.]
[Forget everything else. I hereby announce that my new wife has arrived-]
[Why would Nobody wear such ugly glasses when he looks like this!!]
[Let's all say it together: thank you, Director Yang-]
[Thank you, Director Yang!]
On set, even the warm, humid sea breeze seemed to pause for the Omega.
His almond-shaped eyes held the limpid shimmer of autumn waters. His amber irises were clear and gentle, like a little deer that had wandered out of the remote mountains into the human world. Light rippled through his gaze, stirring a tender urge to protect him.
Some people widened their eyes. Some covered their mouths in shock. Some simply stared, entranced. Others looked thoughtful.
Li Ming, the producer who had been watching the monitors inside the RV, finally understood what Yang Qi had meant back then.
Anyone who saw Jiang Yumiao's face without his glasses would understand: in the face of absolute beauty, every embellishment paled into insignificance.
A knack for variety shows? Notable works? Trendy styling? None of it was necessary.
Simply standing there, he was a sight to behold.
"..."
Jiang Yumiao keenly noticed that even the crew had stopped whispering among themselves. The set had never been this quiet.
Wh-what's going on? I don't think I'm ugly. Why has everyone stopped talking?
Don't tell me I forgot to wipe the sleep out of the corners of my eyes after my nap this afternoon?
Feeling awkward, Jiang Yumiao looked toward Ning Chunchi for help. Without realizing it, he had already begun treating the second male lead as someone he could rely on.
But the moment their eyes met, he noticed that Ning Chunchi seemed unhappy.
The corners of his mouth, which always carried a distant smile, now turned downward. His eyes were as dark as ink, reflecting Jiang Yumiao's figure.
Ning Chunchi was indeed unhappy. Very. Extremely.
The possessiveness and destructive impulses in his bones surged the instant everyone turned their awestruck gazes on the Omega.
He didn't care what Jiang Yumiao looked like, whether beautiful or ordinary, as long as those eyes looked at him alone.
He didn't want other people looking at Jiang Yumiao, either. Wasn't it better for him to remain as inconspicuous as before?
Ning Chunchi's dark gaze enveloped Jiang Yumiao, making him even more anxious.
"Screeech-" A piercing squeal from Director Yang's megaphone brought everyone back to earth.
"Snap out of it, everyone! President Ning is still answering his question!"
Lin Xu and Leng Haiyue obligingly turned toward Ning Chunchi. Qin Yuan had merely looked up when Jiang Yumiao first removed his glasses, shown a flicker of surprise, then returned to his previous indifference.
Yu He ignored Director Yang's reminder and continued staring intently at Jiang Yumiao. He couldn't help it; he was shallow and loved a pretty face. He couldn't control his eyes. What did their desire to look have to do with him, anyway?
Mu Yunzhi and An Zhiwan, seated beside Jiang Yumiao, had an even clearer view. From the side, the Omega's lashes looked especially long and curled, his eyes shimmering with watery light.
Even though both men had seen their share of beauties, they had to admit that Jiang Yumiao really was good-looking.
If Jiang Yumiao had shown everyone this face from the beginning, he might not have caused such a strong reaction. The main reason was that he looked so different now compared with when he wore glasses.
People really were visual creatures.
Director Yang brought them back to the matter at hand. "Now, President Ning, you can answer that question, right? What shape are Jiang Yumiao's eyes?"
Ning Chunchi was no longer looking at Jiang Yumiao. He told Yang Qi, "Almond-shaped."
"Haha, congratulations on the correct answer, President Ning! Please head to the dining area and enjoy your dinner!"
Ning Chunchi nodded to him, then turned and walked toward the dining area.
Director Yang went over to the guests who had lost the game and bantered with them, announcing that milk and bread had already been "thoughtfully" delivered to their rooms. A chorus of mournful complaints followed.
Jiang Yumiao was no longer in the mood to eat. All he could see was the second male lead walking toward him.
Why was Ning Chunchi looking at me so coldly? Did he not want me to take off my glasses? Or was he unhappy with my looks? Did I fail to live up to his expectations?
Jiang Yumiao's mind was a tangled mess. He couldn't help it; he had always been the sort to agonize over things and overthink everything.
He hadn't even noticed the question of how this severely nearsighted body belonging to the original owner could make out Ning Chunchi's expression from the middle of the set.
"Ding-dong! Congratulations on completing your third task, host! Your reward, 'HD 5.0 Vision,' has arrived. Please check it!"
Only then did Jiang Yumiao realize. He shifted his gaze away from the second male lead, blinking as he looked around.
So-so this is the world through the eyes of someone who isn't nearsighted!!
So clear! So wonderful! Being able to see without wearing heavy frames is amazing!
As far as Jiang Yumiao was concerned, the system had finally handed out a useful reward. He loved it.
Watching the Omega blink and cast alluring looks in every direction, Ning Chunchi's expression grew darker still.
That was right. In President Ning's eyes, Jiang Yumiao blinking and looking around meant he was using those beautiful eyes to flirt with everyone.
The dining area had a long table. Mu Yunzhi and An Zhiwan sat fairly close together, but given the distinction between Alphas and Omegas, they had left a small gap between themselves and Jiang Yumiao.
Ning Chunchi sat straight down in the space between Jiang Yumiao and the other two Alphas.
At this distance, Ning Chunchi could get a proper look at Jiang Yumiao without his glasses.
Jiang Yumiao felt the second male lead's gaze pin him in place like a bone-chilling sword, as though it intended to strip away every one of his disguises.
Trembling, he turned his face, glanced at the second male lead, then hurriedly lowered his eyes.
But Jiang Yumiao had forgotten that he now had the eye-shine buff that made him "look lovestruck even when gazing at a dog."
That single glance stirred a raging storm in Ning Chunchi's heart.
The Omega's eyes were soft and dewy. Too shy to look straight at him, he merely cast him a gentle, fleeting glance with those bright amber eyes.
It was only one glance, yet the affection in it seemed ready to overflow, reaching straight into Ning Chunchi's heart.
Once again, Ning Chunchi felt firsthand just how much Jiang Yumiao liked him.
Since childhood, he had seen far too many kinds of gazes: blinded by greed, hungry for quick success, resentful and bitter, insatiably avaricious, brimming with ambition. They were all so filthy that even one more look made him sick.
It wasn't as though he had never met the eyes of his pursuers. But while they professed love and affection over and over, their eyes concealed bottomless pits of desire.
Sometimes, Ning Chunchi even wished he were a little more foolish, that he didn't see through people so thoroughly or read their malice so easily.
But no one had ever looked at him with eyes so indescribably pure, so full of affection.
Jiang Yumiao really does like me, he thought.
