The phone in his hand was displaying the Love Mailbox livestream, while a short distance away, Leng Haiyue worked intently in silver-rimmed glasses.
Years of experience directing variety shows had long since taught Yang Qi how to multitask. While Leng Haiyue focused on work, he stole a few glances at their dating show's livestream. Seeing that Li Ming had everything running smoothly and the guests had all arrived for the brand event, he stopped worrying and turned his attention to the stern-faced man behind the monitor ahead.
Leng Haiyue's working style was very different from Yang Qi's.
If Yang Qi was all smiles and jokes, casual but attentive to detail, then Leng Haiyue was precise and composed, even strict.
He often wore a smile in everyday life, yet he kept a stern face around these idols, radiating an air that warned people not to cross him.
He was... pretty handsome.
After watching for a while, though, Yang Qi began to understand why Leng Haiyue acted that way. Otherwise, he would never keep these proud, headstrong idols in line.
Many idols debuted young and had only attended school for a few years, devoting all their time to singing and dancing practice. Sometimes they got too carried away on set and disrupted filming. Only a strict approach could get them to focus, stop fooling around, and make the music video shoot more efficient.
Filming paused as they prepared to move to the next location. Leng Haiyue turned and walked toward Yang Qi, that familiar, gentle smile returning to his face.
"What do you think, Senior Schoolmate? Pretty different from your work environment, isn't it?"
Yang Qi still wasn't quite used to that form of address.
