Jiang Yumiao hadn't slept well all night. Even his dreams were filled with Ning Chunchi kissing him, the setting constantly shifting from the Scenic Tower to the Cloud River Residence, then to... Ning Chunchi's home. He had tossed and turned, drifting in and out of sleep, and climbed out of bed a little after six.
This was the first time he had gotten up before Ning Chunchi.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Jiang Yumiao quietly watched the sleeping Ning Chunchi from a little distance.
Ning Chunchi's usually deep, dark eyes were firmly shut. He slept neatly, lying flat on his back, and looked so quiet, gentle, and utterly unthreatening that Jiang Yumiao couldn't help wanting to move closer.
Jiang Yumiao was just about to shift over when an image from last night's dream flashed through his mind: being pinned against a wall. A shiver ran through him, instantly dispelling any thought of moving closer to Ning Chunchi. He turned and fled into the bathroom to wash up.
While washing up, he made a point of checking his lips, only relaxing once he saw that they had more or less returned to normal.
Feeling the warmth of sunlight on his face, Ning Chunchi slowly woke and looked toward Jiang Yumiao's side, only to find him gone.
It seemed he hadn't slept this deeply in a long time. He hadn't even noticed when Little Grape got up.
Ning Chunchi checked the time. It was only just past seven, yet a steaming breakfast was already waiting on the table, with a note beside it.
"Gege, Director Yang called me away for something. Remember to eat breakfast~"
There was a moon drawn in the upper-left corner of the note and a bunch of grapes in the lower-right.
Ning Chunchi couldn't help chuckling
