Feng Ze had never seen Tao Zhiyan like this.
Smiling so happily, completely unguarded, even trading silly, pointless jokes with other people.
He lifted his gaze and studied the three people on the screen for a long while.
Tao Zhiyan pulled Feng Ze half a step forward and introduced them. "They were my roommates in college."
"We're really close."
He pointed at the tall, burly man standing in front. "That's the eldest in our dorm."
Then he pointed at the man beside him. "The second eldest."
Finally, he pointed at the one standing farthest away. "And the third eldest."
Feng Ze ruffled Tao Zhiyan's hair. "You're the fourth."
Tao Zhiyan looked up at him and smiled. "Aren't you clever, Mr. Feng?"
Finding him adorable, Feng Ze ruffled his hair a few more times.
"Hey, Peach, I've got something to report," Third suddenly said from inside the glowing screen. Tao Zhiyan looked up, his attention drawn to him.
Third walked over to the hospital bed, looked at the Tao Zhiyan lying there, and pointed at Eldest. "This bastard said he wasn't coming today."
Eldest immediately bristled. "Quit trying to turn him against me!"
"I can testify!" Second raised his hand. "Eldest really did say he wasn't coming!"
"You two." Eldest raised his eyebrows, dropped his things onto the table with a bang, and pointed at them. "So that's how you want to play it? Fine."
"I'm reporting Second. He kicked you out of the WeChat group."
Outside the screen, Tao Zhiyan raised his eyebrows.
"And Third unpinned your chat!"
At that, Tao Zhiyan gave a soft huff.
He really wanted to flip all three of them off, but his boyfriend was here. He couldn't be that uninhibited.
Tao Zhiyan drew his hand back and turned to continue explaining to Feng Ze.
