Pei Hang continued, "Or maybe they represent light and darkness, or a moral conflict?"
As he spoke, something seemed to click into place. He snapped his fingers. "They represent an inner struggle, right?"
Qin Buran cleared his throat twice, his expression rather inscrutable. "What else?"
"The angel represents purity and kindness."
Even Pei Hang thought he was spouting nonsense. "The demon symbolizes evil and represents depravity."
Qin Buran held back his laughter.
