Qin Father was so furious he could barely breathe.
Pei Hang was far too arrogant!
He was an elder, after all. How could he be expected to offer a toast to someone younger?
Wasn't that a slap in his face?
Qin Father's face alternated between dark and red, his anger making it hard for him to breathe.
The trouble was, he really did need a favor from Pei Hang.

Qin Father closed his eyes, suppressing his emotions, then smiled at Pei Hang. "Hang, what would it take to qualify?"
"Do I qualify?"
Qin Yuze was a little angry. Why should his father have to toast Pei Hang?
He glared and was about to speak, but a warning look from Qin Father silenced him.
Qin Father stood up, picked up the bottle, and filled his own glass before moving to pour Pei Hang's wine.
Only then did Pei Hang move his hand away.
Qin Father stopped when the glass was just over half full, showing considerable courtesy.
"Here, Hang." Qin Father stood with his glass in hand. "A toast to you."
"Mm." Pei Hang acted every inch the man in charge. He did not even stand, merely picking up his glass and raising it.
Even Qin Mother could not bear to watch anymore. With an appeasing smile, she said, "Hang, you should stand up for this."
"It's a matter of manners," Qin Mother said. "The man across from you is Ran's father, after all."
Pei Hang looked at Qin Mother and asked, "And?"
Qin Mother was left speechless.
Even Qin Yuze was not too stupid to understand what Pei Hang meant. He pointed at Pei Hang and opened his mouth to curse. "You mother-"
