Nothing could rouse the Minisians' fighting spirit more than the sight of an aging general charging on the front lines.
Dude roared, his white hair whipping wildly through the gunsmoke, his ancestral Lionheart Armor riddled with cracks. The old general's warhorse had long since died. Now he advanced over a field of corpses, his broken sword scraping against armor with an ear-piercing screech.
Dude paid none of it any heed. All he saw was the Double-Headed Eagle Banner... that banner barely a hundred-odd meters away, practically within his grasp.
"Push through!"
He snatched a halberd from the hands of a nearby corpse, swung it forward, and unleashed a thunderous battle cry.
"Kill Chris! Men of Minisia, follow me to victory!"
Committing the entire army was no joke.
To seize victory, Dude had thrown every last stake onto the battlefield without hesitation the moment he saw reinforcements arrive. That included his own life: he personally charged at the front.
With the old general leading the charge, the Minisian soldiers on the verge of collapse began gathering around his banner, like iron filings drawn to a magnet.
With every step Dude took, more men joined that torrent of flesh and blood. They filled shell craters with corpses, built ladders from broken spears, and even piled dying warhorses into cover.
And it actually let the Minisians break into the center of the Prince's Army's Great Square Formation once more.
Besides the Minisians' bloody courage, Chris's mistake had something to do with it. His formation had plenty of width and depth, but it left his strongest fighters, the players, scattered all over instead of concentrated into a single fist.
