Hidden behind a conifer, Little Knife watched the distant Bohemian Army formation break apart, its soldiers scattering across the mountainside to attack the players, and felt deeply satisfied.

The enemy had formed up and would be hard to deal with. What could they do?

That was the "old trick" Little Knife had thought of earlier.

The enemy had open ground where it could assemble an unwieldy infantry great square formation, but the players had no such favorable terrain. They held the high ground, but the mountainside was obstructed by dense trees, and the terrain itself was uneven.

The scattered Mountain Tiger players were like water poured onto the ground, rapidly seeping into every corner of the mountain forest, impossible to gather back together.

Toward evening, powdery snow drifted onto Aku's eyelashes. He huddled in a natural hollow formed by the roots of a fir tree, his white military cloak blending into the snow. Even the flintlock in his hands had become a snow-covered stick.

In the dim yellow light slanting down from the sky through the conifer forest, Aku could see blue figures not far away. After carefully counting them and checking their troop types, he nodded in satisfaction.

Good. They'll do.
