Chris was reading the reports sent back by the players' Expeditionary Army, and they left him scratching his head.
His fiancée really had pulled something off... she had actually persuaded Minician nobles to defect to the Expeditionary Army!
And after they defected, she had made who knew what promises to get two nobles to willingly serve as moles!
Well, Chris's opinion of Elena rose a little... he had no idea what went on in her head, and she did not seem particularly bright, but she was quite adept at aristocratic maneuvering.
Even so, they should not be shortchanged on their rewards. Otherwise, people would defect once, but never again.
With a sigh, Chris took two administrative templates from his desk and began drafting commendations.
Since they had defected and personally killed soldiers of the Minicia Kingdom, even spilling noble blood... after some serious thought, Chris decided to appoint them hereditary Five-Army Commandants of the Blue Banner Army.
As the title suggested, a Five-Army Commandant could command five thousand soldiers and held enough land to support those soldiers and their families. It was unquestionably a lucrative post, one Chris intended to use as a lavish reward to attract further talent.
As for where that land was?
Well, Chris allotted them land near White Rock City, right beside the mountains where the Tia Family was hiding. That whole stretch belonged to the two of them.
As for whether the soil was fertile enough or there were mineral deposits underground, Chris had no idea. They would have to trust their luck. In any case, they certainly would not lose out.
Once he finished writing the appointments, Chris set down his pen.
"Clerk."
"I'm here."
"Take these two appointment documents and post a delivery quest. Only Guards with high reputation may accept it."
"Understood."
