Ke Meng had Shirley lift the lid. No layers of black vapor billowed out, but the fish in the pot had taken on an utterly bizarre appearance. Its tail had vanished, replaced by a mass of octopus-like tentacles.
The tentacles were attached to the fish's tail end in an extremely peculiar way. They writhed gently, covered in blurry, mosaic-like pixels.
The fish's body was a blur as well, yet its eyes were abnormally clear. They bulged as though about to split, brimming with endless resentment. Just looking at them was frightening.
"It certainly lives up to the name Dark Cuisine Pot." The sight left Ke Meng without the slightest appetite.
A perfectly good fish had been processed into this by that black pot. Ke Meng really had no desire to eat it.
In the end, he had the Big-Faced Cat dispose of the ingredients. Spoonful after spoonful, the Big-Faced Cat ate all the disgusting food without reservation.
For a cat that had stopped thinking, whether something was disgusting did not matter. It could not restore the cat's ability to think.
Once the test of the Dark Cuisine Pot was over, the investigators returned to Ke Meng's side and quietly examined the Stone Demon Mask.
"Putting on this mask turns you into a Vampire?" Director Lei asked curiously.
"The exact method is to get blood on the mask first, then put it on. That turns you into a Vampire," Ke Meng reminded him.
"A Vampire, huh? Come to think of it, no one in our bureau has become a Vampire yet. This is an opportunity, but can they be controlled after transforming?" Director Lei put on a glove and held the Stone Demon Mask, examining it quietly.
The Investigation Bureau always looked forward to new things Ke Meng did not need.
