Bang, bang, bang.
Ke Meng heard more gunfire, all of it the sound of supersonic bullets streaking past.
A coordinated assassination!
Ke Meng had wanted to pursue the man who had fled, but Koi City was under fire. He could not leave.
Murmuring in an unknown language, Ke Meng summoned something with his right hand. Black waves of air swirled in his palm, and the air around him grew cold and sinister.

Tangyuan vanished in an instant, leaving a knife-sharp gust and a sonic boom behind.
Golden flashes darted through the night. The assassins without Teleportation Stones could not possibly outrun Tangyuan and were swatted unconscious one after another.
Only two assassins crushed Teleportation Stones and escaped Koi City. They were probably big fish too.
Teleportation Stones were rare resources. There was no way every assassin could be equipped with one. Looking at the unconscious people Tangyuan brought back, Ke Meng knew these were not big fish. They were expendable pawns.
