At the mention of the Volcanic Stone, Luo Yuan broke into a cold sweat.
"Luckily, nothing terrifying came up in last night's random draw," Luo Yuan murmured.
The previous night, Ke Meng had been so sleepy that he had simply slept in the Investigation Bureau's Holy Light Room.
That had been ill-advised. The things that appeared while Ke Meng slept were far too terrifying. If another Zero-Level Item emerged, the Koi Continent would not be able to take it.
In fact, the Bureau's S-Class heavyweights had already classified Ke Meng as someone even more formidable than a Zero-Level Item.
What made Ke Meng so formidable was his ability to bring Zero-Level Items into existence!
The Investigation Bureau had initially been reluctant to confirm Ke Meng's zero-level strategic status. Only after the Volcanic Stone's might shook the world did everyone in the Bureau finally establish his extraordinary strategic importance.
He was both their strongest safeguard and a spear that might wound their own people.
Hearing Luo Yuan mutter to himself, Ke Meng also realized how unsuitable his choice of sleeping location had been the night before.
Still, the danger was manageable. As long as Ke Meng accepted no sacrifices all night, no offerings on par with Zero-Level Items would descend upon Blue Star.
The people at the Investigation Bureau did not know this. Luo Yuan thought Ke Meng should no longer sleep at the Bureau. He ought to sleep somewhere outside the city, preferably in a sparsely populated area.
But that would mean Ke Meng would once again lead a life cut off from the world, and the Investigation Bureau did not want to leave him feeling alienated.
Luo Yuan scratched his head, unsure what to do.
One thing was certain, though: Ke Meng could not sleep in Koi City again.
