The members of the Shadow Stream Organization were hardened scoundrels, and their leader was the king of them all.
Even Ke Meng found dealing with a scoundrel like that a headache.
Elsewhere, the Investigation Bureau had also dispatched people to deal with the body the Tentacle Monster had left behind.
The entire body had the indescribable form of a tentacle monster. Even without its shadow, it naturally radiated a terrifying aura.
But the bureau's S-Class members were no pushovers either. The Flaming Man used a Zero-Level Item to burn the body to ashes with the strongest flames.
That Zero-Level Item could inflict devastation on the scale of a nuclear bomb. Its flames also carried supernatural power, specifically suited to destroying things that were otherwise difficult to damage. The terrifying heat was enough to melt anything.
The Flaming Man carefully controlled the range of the blaze, burning straight through that mountainous terrain and leaving an enormous crater in the ground.
Even then, the flames kept burning, forcing the other Investigators to use powerful cooling items to bring down the temperature.
The cooling had little effect. Fortunately, before starting the fire, they had planned to partition this area with barriers. Once the tremendous flames burned through the ground and reached the divisions created by the barriers, there was naturally nothing left for them to burn, and they finally stopped.
The Tentacle Monster's corpse was also annihilated in temperatures exceeding ten million degrees, and the oppressive aura that inspired inexplicable dread no longer filled the scene.
Afterward, the Investigation Bureau's Flaming Man took a helicopter to the small town to meet up with Ke Meng.
"Time's up. If we can't seal it all, we'll destroy the town. Arrange for all the residents to evacuate." Upon meeting Ke Meng, the Flaming Man urged him
