The convenience store downstairs opened as usual. Yesterday's events had not affected their lives.
Ke Meng ordered breakfast, and Chen Momo personally brought the soy milk and fried dough sticks to his door.

He opened the door to find Chen Momo wearing a blue mask and carrying two bags of breakfast. Her ponytail bounced lightly as she walked into his home.
"Are those two ants still here?" Chen Momo asked.
"They're still here. They haven't escaped." Ke Meng shook his head. "They're trapped and can't leave their hosts on their own."
Momo pulled up a chair and sat down, casually looking around the living room as she ate.
"Where did that Big Fur Ball plush of yours go?"
"Oh, that one." Ke Meng figured that since the government already knew about Tangyuan, there was no need to keep it hidden from people he knew.
"Tangyuan!" Ke Meng called. The bedroom door opened on its own, and a round, fluffy ball of fur squeezed through and slowly rolled into the living room.
Chen Momo's mouth formed a startled O, and she took a hard bite of her fried dough stick.
She chewed. The dough stick was just as chewy as always. This was no dream.
A plush toy had suddenly started moving. It felt pretty creepy.
But after seeing a moving shadow and ants that could write yesterday, Chen Momo had become much more receptive to such things. She only found it a little creepy before remembering that Ke Meng had called it Tangyuan. It was probably safe.
"Why didn't you tell me before? It can actually move!" Chen Momo gave Ke Meng a reproachful look.
