After standing at the edge for a while without any further signs of activity, he could only head back.
On his way back, Ke Meng looked up at the sky. A scarlet moon hung on the horizon, and the sky was strangely hazy.
Ke Meng wanted to know what exactly was going on with that moon overhead.
But he was too far from it. Even Big-Faced Cat could not provide any information.
Ke Meng was still in his angelic form, flying high in the sky, his entire body radiating a light too intense to look at directly.
Countless vampire creatures dared not look up at the sky, much less venture outside, for fear that Ke Meng would block their doors and shine them to death.
This was the vampires' hidden space, which they had cultivated for decades. Whenever outsiders came here, it was because of the unconscious urge to draw them in that the Mother had emitted.
The vampire community was already well established, so naturally, they did not need many newcomers. Many of those newcomers were fresh, living blood meals with a special flavor unavailable from their farms. Thus, the blood feasts held several times a month, sometimes more than a dozen, had become the vampires' monthly celebrations.
But now, they had never imagined that such a powerful enemy would enter this hidden space. Even the supposedly invincible Vampire Clan Leader had been driven into a corner. How could they possibly stand a chance against Ke Meng?
Ke Meng ignored them. There was still time to burn them all or deal with them slowly using other items. They could not escape anyway. The exit had been blocked, and Ke Meng already held their fate in his hands.
Ke Meng flew higher and higher. With the Angel Wing, he did
