Campus competition day.
Whale City's branch campus was located on the outskirts. The grounds were vast, reportedly covering four thousand mu.
Most of that enormous space, apart from the teaching buildings, consisted of testing grounds and breeding facilities for the special biology program.
It was Ke Meng's first visit to the branch campus. He had attended an ordinary university; Special University had only opened this year, and he had never seen it before.
Atop the main campus gate, a whale sculpture emerged from a model of seawater and spouted water, giving it a lively, natural feel.
It felt a little conventional, but the design was decent, not particularly old-fashioned.
Beyond the gate lay the campus, with modern buildings standing one after another. Ke Meng wandered through a few of them, taking a look at the students' learning environment.
The competition had already begun, but Ke Meng was in no hurry. There were plenty of students, and they could not all finish competing so quickly. Besides, the competition was spread over several days, so there really was no need to rush.
Ke Meng wandered over to the lecture area. A large classroom stood empty, with not a soul inside. The students had all gone to watch the competition on the athletic field or in special fields.
Ke Meng then went to the school library to see what materials it held.
"How to distinguish special items from ordinary items." Looking at the title, Ke Meng wondered whether that was something you could roughly figure out by feel alone. On second thought, though, people whose spirituality was not keen enough really did need that knowledge.
"Human rationality." The title sounded rather philosophical. Curious, Ke Meng opened it and skimmed a few pages. It was not a philosophy book, but a collection of straightforward
