A day later, Jin Huiying had returned to Whale City and saw Ke Meng in person once again.
The last time she had seen Ke Meng was a month ago. It hadn't been long, but Jin Huiying remembered him.
"Do you have a really high position in the Bureau?"
Jin Huiying stared at Ke Meng, as though trying to catch his gaze.
She had already joined the Investigation Bureau as an Investigator assigned to combat, and her teammates were also tasked with keeping an eye on her.
After joining the Investigation Bureau, Jin Huiying had tried asking about Ke Meng's position there, but her teammates all said they didn't know, weren't sure, and had never asked.
No matter whom she asked, she got pretty much the same three nonanswers.
Even the people at Headquarters only knew that Ke Meng was an insider at the Bureau, not his rank or position. This surprised Jin Huiying a little.
"No, nothing special." Ke Meng didn't spell it out.
Ke Meng's information was classified as top secret within the Investigation Bureau. His records had been converted into paper files and sealed away at Koi City Base. Even S-Class members needed approval from at least five members to review them.
If even S-Class members had such trouble accessing Ke Meng's records, ordinary Investigators had next to no chance of learning his identity.
On paper, Ke Meng was merely an ordinary Investigator, with his investigation rank set extremely, extremely low.
His list of possessions only stated that he owned a dog, with nothing else included.
"Let me explain the filming assignment. Specifically, we'll make a video featuring you to lure foreign Werewolves into the country, then the Investigation Bureau will coordinate their capture."
Jin Huiying was puzzled. "Isn't that baiting them? What have Werewolves done to
