When Ke Meng said, "You from three seconds ago," they understood. It was a subtle lingering issue caused by the three seconds of Time Stasis.
Big-Faced Cat had not explained what would happen to those whose time was stopped. He had only said that the user would lose a year of lifespan.
"In your eyes, we're people from three seconds ago. But in our eyes, you're Ke Meng from the future." The Director's expression was complicated. He found this strange feeling somewhat unsettling.
Ke Meng was still the same person, but he seemed to exist on a different timeline from the Director. The Director's own spirituality clearly suggested that the Ke Meng before him came from a timeline that was about to unfold.
An ordinary person would never have felt this way, because their spirituality was too sluggish to detect such a hidden discrepancy in time.
"What effect will this side effect have on us?" the Director asked.
"Big-Faced Cat didn't mention that, but I don't think your lives are in danger. You don't need to worry about dying for now." Ke Meng shook his head.
He had originally wanted to investigate the escape route the Door Organization had left behind. Instead, he was now troubled by the side effects of the Time Item.
They stood where they were, silently sensing their own bodies.
If they were injured, they could vaguely sense where the injury was. But after checking for quite some time, none of them detected any unusual injuries.
"Let's go outside and look. If the outside world has changed, that'll be a real
