"Something must have happened over there!" Tumei-chan said, her gaze sharpening.
Tumei-chan wore lightweight leather armor and was an assassin by class. Twirling a curved dagger in her right hand, she swiftly advanced in a stealthy crouch.
As an assassin, she had a keen gaze and nimble footwork. Her job was to scout ahead and bring the information she uncovered back to the team.
The leveling party followed slowly behind her. They were not assassins, and their base movement speed was not as high as hers. There was no rush.
Ten minutes later, Tumei-chan typed in the team chat channel:
"There are lots of powerful Fish Frogs here!"
"They've spotted me!"
"Everyone, be careful!"
"It's so fast! Damn it, I've been caught!"
Tumei-chan sent her messages roughly six or seven seconds apart. Only twenty-odd seconds had passed between spotting the enemy and getting caught!
A minute later, another message appeared in the chat.
"They've tied me up with rope. I can't break the immobilization. Be careful, and don't let them tie you up. I suspect this is the same kind of immobilization bug as the Kobolds'," Tumei-chan said.
The leveling party exchanged glances, while Everything Is Tough turned to the developer's engineer on their team.
"Didn't you say this was a level-five area?"
"It is a level-five area," the engineer said guiltily.
Everything Is Tough hefted his two-handed sword. He might have been reckless, but that did not mean he would charge ahead when he knew something was wrong.
He tagged everyone in the group chat and promptly obtained the team leader's approval to call in a group of veteran players in their teens to support them.
