Life on Orange Star was not easy.
The crisis posed by the Witch Cult had not been resolved, and the environment in the Game World had begun to deteriorate again.
Some people began analyzing whether this meant the game had entered its second game plus.
"Rather than keep guessing, why not go take a look at R'lyeh? One look should tell us."
Someone brought up this suggestion on the game forums.
It was undeniably a good idea, because the second game plus revolved around a storyline connected to Cthulhu.
Although nobody knew exactly how Cthulhu was doing now, there should be nothing wrong with taking a look.
Everyone then began planning who would participate in this expedition.
Before long, within a single day, they had assembled a team of investigators under the research institute's leadership and set off for the max-level forbidden zone, Deep-Sea R'lyeh.
Terrifying deep-sea creatures roamed R'lyeh. Their people rarely went there, because the place was connected to Cthulhu, and they did not want to keep getting entangled with gods.
Once the people they sent descended into the deep sea, they could no longer see any light.
Although it was bitterly cold on the surface, the temperature underwater had not dropped to such a terrifying degree. It even felt very warm to them.
By the time they descended to the deepest part of the seabed, they had entered the forbidden zone.
Inside the R'lyeh Forbidden Zone, everything was silent. Even the sound of flowing water became strangely tranquil.
Only an occasional gurgling sound echoed through their minds.
"There's no sound of water. This is the sound of spirituality," they said.
"This is the call of Cthulhu, but my body can resist it."
After swimming for nearly half a day, they spotted a max-level sea beast passing by.
