According to the Demon Map skill's description he had read earlier, the map had signed a supreme contract with him, a contract bound to their souls. Ke Meng was the superior party, while the Demon Map had been forced into signing. As long as Ke Meng spoke its name and made the summoning gesture, it had to cross worlds to come to him.

Now that he had entered a dream as Great Cthulhu, perhaps he could summon the Demon Map and teach the Slacking Demon Map a lesson, letting it see whether a demon or an evil god was more terrifying.

But the ancient god seal was no pushover, either. Unable to move meant unable to move.

Since he could not move, he could not raise his tentacles to perform the summoning gesture the skill strictly required, so most of Ke Meng's hopes went up in smoke.
