"We're almost there."
Ke Meng raised his head and looked at the tall buildings ahead.
It was an ordinary residential complex. According to the files, these buildings all stood twenty-three stories tall, with a small park below boasting thirty-five percent greenery coverage, and a parking garage on basement level one beneath that.
A cordon had already been set up at the parking garage entrance. Armed soldiers stood outside the security booth, glaring fiercely at the people in the car. "Please remove your masks."
Luo Yuan rolled down the window and removed his mask, revealing his face.
A soldier guarding the entrance brought over a photographic scanner and scanned Luo Yuan's face.
With a beep, Luo Yuan's classified file appeared on the device's screen.
The soldier lacked the clearance to read Luo Yuan's file. All he could see was that Luo Yuan belonged to the Special Affairs Investigation Bureau.
He then scanned Ke Meng's, Cheng Le's, and Doctor Liang's faces in turn. All three results displayed positions within the Special Affairs Investigation Bureau.
"Inspection complete. You're cleared to proceed!" The soldier saluted the four of them.
The car drove into the parking garage on basement level one. Several police cars and armored vehicles were already parked near its eastern side.
The four got out and stepped past the cordon. Captain Luo went to speak with the personnel there, while Ke Meng and the others approached the missing man So-and-so Tang's car and examined it closely.
Doctor Liang and Cheng Le each blinked. Their spirit-vision glasses revealed no unusual traces.
"Meng, are you sensing anything?" Cheng Le asked.
He knew Ke Meng had maximum spiritual awareness. His spiritual perception was far stronger than theirs, so he might be able to pick up hidden information.
The spirit-vision glasses were not particularly powerful items.
