One hour later.
At the Evergreen Gang headquarters.
An Kai glanced at Hanks, who was grinning like an idiot, and instructed him, "Get the magic stones ready. I'll be right back."
Hanks nodded and patted his chest. No more needed to be said...
An Kai entered the Evergreen Gang headquarters and deftly shut the gate, blocking Hanks's view.
Will-Bukelin was in the Evergreen Gang's meeting hall.
When he saw An Kai enter, he rose and stood at the hall's entrance to greet him.
"My lord, I brought everything, and I've also found out the approximate selling price of [Mage Armor]."
An Kai nodded. Will-Bukelin was the only person in the Desert whose work he could trust.
First, Will-Bukelin dragged a chest out of the corner. It was roughly a meter in length, width, and height.
He pressed a few buttons, and the chest opened.
A sea of glittering gold greeted An Kai's eyes...
"My lord, the Storage Ring sold for 531 gold coins, [Summoning] for 1,621, and the remaining items for 2,013. That's a total of 4,165 gold coins. They're all here."
"I asked the City Lord of Chaos City. She said the starting bid for [Mage Armor] would be 1,500 gold coins, and the final price would probably be around 3,800."
"Last year's [Mage Armor] sold for 3,650 gold coins."
An Kai paused at Will-Bukelin's explanation and asked, "They auctioned off [Mage Armor] last year, too?"
Will-Bukelin nodded. "To be precise, they've auctioned off [Mage Armor] every year for the past twenty years. That's because the City Lord of Chaos City learned [Mage Armor] thirty-five years ago!"
"And it only took her fifteen years to train [Mage Armor] to the point where she could manifest it and pass it on."
Will-Bukelin's explanation taught An Kai something new.
