Chapter Summaries

Asura and Indra took control of Naruto and Sasuke and led the revived Ninja Alliance against Musashi, who was nearly defeated. Youpi, Pouf, Neferpitou, and a vast Chimera Ant Army arrived to turn the battle around, leaving the two sides preparing for a decisive clash.

• Asura and Indra awakened the Ninja Alliance members trapped in tree cocoons and led them against Musashi.
• Musashi fought Asura, Indra, and the Ninja Alliance, but their combined attacks battered his Susanoo and left him badly injured.
• Youpi arrived with part of the Chimera Ant Army and blasted through the Ninja Alliance, while Pouf used his scales to hypnotize weaker ninja into killing themselves.

The Ninja Alliance and Chimera Ant Army suffered heavy losses as Guy and Kakashi fought against powerful Chimera Ants. Toneri Otsutsuki arrived and joined Asura and Indra, leaving Musashi to realize they might not fully control Naruto and Sasuke.

• Guy opened the sixth and seventh Eight Gates and killed one Squad Leader-level Chimera Ant while injuring another, drawing the Chimera Ant Research Unit's attention.

Meruem’s forces wiped out Dassai’s Shuten Dōji Gang while Meruem judged the Nura world’s strength and resolved to treat it as a vacation. At Ukiyoe Middle School, Meruem, Neferpitou, and Ruiko transferred into Rikuo’s class and joined Kiyotsugu’s yokai club.

• Meruem’s twelve Anbu Twelve Stars exterminated Dassai’s Shuten Dōji Gang, leaving Dassai as its sole survivor.

The Nura Clan learned that the Baboon Gang had been destroyed and Baboon had been poisoned and cursed, prompting Ichimoku to demand revenge. Baboon revealed that a mysterious yokai named Meruem had saved him, and Rikuo said a new classmate at his school had the same name.

• Karasu Tengu's three sons found Baboon barely alive among the ruins of the Baboon Gang's headquarters and brought him to the Nura Clan.
• Zhen treated Baboon and reported that poison had been removed but a curse remained, while Ichimoku angrily prepared to pursue the attackers.
• Nurarihyon stopped Ichimoku from acting rashly and promised to investigate the attack.
• After waking, Baboon said young attackers with wind abilities had overwhelmed his gang, but an unknown figure calling himself Meruem had driven them off.
• Rikuo told Nurarihyon that a new classmate at his school was named Meruem.

Tamazuki’s Shikoku forces attacked the Nura Clan, but Rikuo’s Hundred Demons defeated them as Meruem, Pitou, and Ruiko watched. Keikain Ryuji attacked Rikuo after finding him with Yura, and Ruiko stepped in to confront Ryuji and Mamiryu.

• Nurarihyon killed Whip of Wind after questioning him, then left the Nura Clan headquarters with Natto Kozo to pursue an old friend.
• Tamazuki’s Eighty-Eight Demons Parade attacked the Nura Clan, and Inugami and Sode-gami died during the conflict.

• Ruiko sought Meruem’s praise, and Meruem picked up the injured Yura as Ryuji and Mamiryu faced his group.
• Ryuji explained that the Uchiha Clan was a mysterious, powerful Onmyoji family, while the chapter revealed Meruem had established the Uchiha and Shadow clans as his forces in this world.

Meruem visited the Nura Clan headquarters, where Nurarihyon asked him to protect Rikuo during the coming conflict with Hagoromo Gitsune. Meruem agreed, while Musashi prepared to travel to Kyoto and invited Tamamo-no-Mae to join him.

• Meruem and the Third Hokage arrived at the Nura Clan headquarters as honored guests, and Meruem remarked on the residence and its yokai.
• Nurarihyon recognized that the Third Hokage was not an Onmyoji and said he trusted Meruem because Meruem had helped the Nura Clan.

• Kidomaru recognized Tamamo-no-Mae, and she embraced Musashi before he killed Ibaraki-dōji with a finger-pointing illusion.
• Musashi revealed his name, summoned his Sharingan-wielding subordinates, and challenged Hagoromo Gitsune with Demon Sword Muramasa.

Yura kissed Meruem to persuade him to save Rikuo, and Meruem defeated Tsuchigumo before the battle shifted to the Keikain Family’s headquarters. After Meruem’s Anbu Twelve Stars annihilated Hagoromo Gitsune’s attacking forces, he warned the survivors not to interfere with her birth and identified the child as Abe no Seimei, or Nue.

• Yura kissed Meruem, and he stepped in to fight Tsuchigumo after Rikuo was badly injured.
• Meruem overwhelmed Tsuchigumo, while Rikuo resolved to undergo special training.
• Kidomaru and Hagoromo Gitsune’s Hundred Demons attacked the Keikain Family’s headquarters as Hagoromo Gitsune prepared to give birth.
• The Anbu Twelve Stars killed the attacking forces, and Meruem warned the Keikain Family and Nura Clan not to disturb Hagoromo Gitsune’s birth.

Meruem prevented the yokai and Onmyoji from interrupting Hagoromo Gitsune’s delivery while the Uchiha Clan fought the Mikadoin Clan. Hagoromo Gitsune gave birth to Nue, and Meruem remained poised above him as the Anbu Twelve Stars declared their King stronger.

• Kidomaru reached Hagoromo Gitsune’s territory mortally wounded after the Anbu Twelve Stars defeated him.
• Musashi killed Mikadoin Hiruko, then summoned nine beasts as the Uchiha Clan confronted the Mikadoin Clan.
• Meruem stopped the Nura Clan and Keikain Family from approaching Nijo Castle, and Zi Shu slaughtered the Ōtengu who defied the King’s orders.

Meruem defeated and devoured Nue and Abe no Yoshihira, completing another evolution and gaining the ability to consume the Chakra Fruit. Before leaving the world, he restored Nura Rihan and Yamabuki Otome and said goodbye to Keikain Yura.

• Nue offered to rule the world with him, but Meruem refused and fought him after Musashi delivered Abe no Yoshihira's body.

Meruem demonstrated his overwhelming power by spreading his En across the planet, alarming Earth’s strongest fighters, then visited Korin Tower and obtained Sacred Water and Senzu Beans. He left for Kami’s temple, where Goku and the others were also heading.

• Meruem expanded his En across the planet, causing Goku, Master Roshi, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, Kami, and others to sense his ominous power.
• Meruem used his En to locate Korin Tower and flew there at extraordinary speed.

Meruem persuaded Kami to teach him how to use Ki, then fought Goku on the Lookout and easily withstood his attacks. The chapter left Meruem considering the vast strength of the Dragon Ball world and how outmatched his Chimera Ant army would be against its major powers.

• Meruem told Kami he wanted to learn Ki and agreed not to attack Earth’s inhabitants unless they provoked him.
• Goku arrived at the Lookout and eagerly challenged Meruem, while Kami worried about the encounter.
• Meruem let Goku punch him, using Hard to protect his face when Goku aimed there, and Goku hurt his fist against him.
• Goku recovered and announced that he would use his strongest technique to test the gap between them.
