"You know him?"
The shadow deep within the hall stirred, then swept forward from the depths, though he seemed unable to emerge completely. He could only stop twenty meters away from Tian Yuanzi and the other two, but his scarlet eyes were clearly visible within that black hollow.
At that moment, Di Yuanzi and Ren Yuanzi also turned toward Tian Yuanzi in response to his reaction, curiosity and inquiry written on their faces.
After a brief hesitation, Tian Yuanzi sighed. "Ah, it's embarrassing to speak of this... I nearly died at his hands."
"What?!"
Both Ren Yuanzi and Di Yuanzi were stunned. The shadow fell briefly silent as well, then could not help pressing him. "Tian Yuanzi, what exactly happened?"

Tian Yuanzi concealed nothing. He slowly recounted everything, from Liu Tong's death at Hundred Dynasties Mountain to the attempt to encircle and kill Ling Feng at the Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace, leaving out no detail.
"Who exactly is this Ling Feng? How could he be so powerful?"
After hearing Tian Yuanzi's account, Ren Yuanzi and Di Yuanzi exchanged looks. Then Ren Yuanzi could not help speaking up. The shadow in the hall, however, sank into silence, seemingly waiting quietly for Tian Yuanzi to speak.
"I'm not too sure myself. That brat appeared out of nowhere. All I know is that he seems to have some past connection with the Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace."
Tian Yuanzi shook his head and spoke in a grave voice.
The three fell silent, then all turned toward the shadow at once. As though sensing their gazes, the shadow pondered briefly before saying, "Whatever his origins, that brat possesses a weapon that can counter the members of our Demon Prison. We absolutely cannot let him live."
