A sudden rush of wind rang out overhead, followed by three streaks of light racing across the sky. They were Ling Feng, Xin Qing, and Ying Huanhuan, heading toward the Nine-Tailed Fox Clan's territory.
Not long after Xin Qing woke up, Ying Huanhuan also regained consciousness. Finding herself in Ling Feng's arms made her a little bashful, but she did not seem quite as embarrassed as Xin Qing. Instead, she even wore a secret little smile.
After traveling for two hours, the group stopped to rest.
It was not that Ling Feng could not keep going. Xin Qing and Ying Huanhuan could not bear the strain of racing along with him the whole way, so he could only let the two women rest for a while before continuing their journey.
"Here you are, Lord Ling Feng."
Xin Qing took some spare rations out of her Universe Bag and arranged them on a jade platter. She even prepared wine. Her thoughtful, attentive manner made Ling Feng feel rather like a wealthy old landlord.
He had to admit that he thoroughly enjoyed being waited on like this. It also reminded him of Qing Lin back in the Tagor Desert. She had served him in much the same way.
At the thought, a touch of tenderness entered Ling Feng's eyes as he looked at Xin Qing. Still eating, he said indistinctly, "Xin Qing, I told you, just call me Ling Feng. There's no need for 'Lord' or anything like that."
"Sister Xin Qing, Brother Ling Feng is really easygoing. You could call him Brother Ling Feng like I do."
Ying Huanhuan did not harbor the same hostility toward Xin Qing that she did toward Tang Xinlian. Perhaps it was because Xin Qing was timid and endearing,
