"What are you two talking about?" A composed young man approached them with a smile.
Both turned at his voice. Cheng Ying's eyes lit up when she saw Bo Wen. "No training today, Bo Wen?"
Bo Wen's smile was as captivating as ever. He beamed. "I couldn't be bothered to train today. You're still working so hard, Miss Cheng Ying. You put me to shame."
Will and Cheng Ying had known each other first, then gotten to know Bo Wen. To them, Bo Wen was rather mysterious, his abilities unfathomable. Cheng Ying had always suspected that even Marco Witt might be no match for him. Judging by the few commissions he had taken, he had completed every one with ease.
Cheng Ying had always thought Bo Wen was a very strange fellow. He seemed interested in everything, yet seemed to care about nothing. But one thing was certain: Bo Wen was very powerful!
That alone was enough. In this society, powerful people were more worth getting to know. Both Will and Cheng Ying understood this profoundly.
There were few female Card Adepts at the base, but any with even slightly above-average looks gazed at Bo Wen as though they wanted to swallow him whole.
By comparison, Cheng Ying was far calmer and more natural, which was one reason Bo Wen regarded her differently.
Bo Wen was someone people simply couldn't bring themselves to dislike. Even a woman as particular as Cheng Ying couldn't help thinking so-a testament to his charm.
"Cheng Ying was just telling me she'd found someone impressive." Will greeted Bo Wen, then explained with a smile.
"Someone impressive? Oh, anyone Miss Cheng Ying calls impressive must be truly outstanding." Bo Wen looked quite interested.
Seeing both men looking at her, Cheng Ying recounted what she had witnessed
