As long as he found the right method, thirty seconds would be enough for Chen Mu-or rather, for Chen Mu in the breath-concealing state!
Without hesitation, he raised his hand and fired a Tail-Shedding Shuttle!
The Tail-Shedding Shuttle's strange whistle rang out again. The giant insect started slightly and abruptly pulled back, displaying extraordinary agility.
Chen Mu had observed its movements for nearly two minutes, analyzing vast amounts of data in that brief span. He did not understand the principles behind the Breath-Concealing Method, but whenever he entered the breath-concealing state, this terrifying computational ability came naturally to him.
The probability of hitting the target: fifty-five percent!
Pfft! The Tail-Shedding Shuttle grazed the joint of one of the giant insect's legs and buried itself underground, leaving a finger-width hole in the earth.
Chen Mu's expression did not change, as though nothing could have been more normal. Indeed, the miss was entirely consistent with his calculations. The instant he fired, the probability of that shot hitting had automatically surfaced in his mind. Fifty-five percent was hardly high; he had almost an even chance of missing. There was no helping it. After only two minutes of observation, this was already his limit.
Still, he was very satisfied with that figure. Fifty-five percent meant that, barring particularly bad luck, five out of every ten Tail-Shedding Shuttles he fired would hit.
In reality, however, his chances of success were far higher than that figure, because someone else was here.
Wei'a's outstanding combat instincts allowed him to identify Chen Mu's target almost the instant he saw the Tail-Shedding Shuttle graze the joint of the giant insect's leg. He had no idea how Chen Mu had identified its weakness, but that did nothing to diminish his trust in Chen Mu's abilities.
Almost simultaneously, he struck!
