The Energy Card he had made exceeded Chen Mu's expectations, so much so that he could hardly determine how many stars it should have. Still, he soon cast that academic question aside. Here, such questions held little meaning.

The energy contained in this Energy Card far surpassed anything he had imagined. He probably would not have to worry about Energy Cards for a long time. That meant he could resume his regular training. For a while, the shortage of Energy Cards had forced him to abandon his usual exercises, since they consumed energy constructs. He could only practice some Uncard Flow exercises, but Wei'a was absent, and the Devil Woman's training methods did not suit his physical condition.
His Air Techniques could only be considered ordinary. They were passable for frightening Card Adepts, but against these ferocious beasts, they barely scratched an itch. Chen Mu had tried it himself: a sharp Air Slash had struck a Bone-Piercing Rhino without leaving so much as a pale mark.
The Devil Woman had told him bluntly that he was not strong enough. Had it been Wei'a, she believed it would not have been much trouble. Those cutting words had not discouraged Chen Mu. In his mind, Wei'a had long been an invincible existence. Besides, by relying on his own wits afterward, the two of them had managed to wear the Bone-Piercing Rhino down until it died. That had kept him excited for a long time.
Although their limited numbers left them little tactical flexibility, Chen Mu had still discovered the value of tactics.
Some things, even if you knew them, often failed to come to mind when danger struck unless you had actually put them into practice.
