Two figures slipped silently along the shadows of the rift. They moved at tremendous speed, yet concealed themselves exceptionally well, never leaving the cover of the shadows. Their movements were light and nimble, their landings utterly soundless, like two ghosts. Two more figures followed behind them, one wearing a dark gold mask, the other a burly, rugged man.
Two thick, snow-white eyebrows stood out most prominently on a small, round face. The boy was about seventeen or eighteen. His little eyes remained vigilant as he crouched slightly in the shadows. Beside him, an expressionless man stood motionless in the darkness, like a rock.
Little Bu Mo knitted his thick white brows, a trace of puzzlement showing on his face. Beside him, Wei'a remained expressionless.
Behind them, Su and Yangshan Fei flew along at their leisure. Both had grown accustomed to following Wei'a and Little Bu Mo on these outings. Over the past few years, it had become routine for the four of them to act together. At first, Su and Yangshan Fei had been somewhat resistant, but they soon discovered that, exhausting though the relentless fighting was, it greatly improved their strength. Their enthusiasm had risen considerably.
The four were simply divided into two pairs: Wei'a with Little Bu Mo, and Su with Yangshan Fei.
"So bored, so bored!" Yangshan Fei sang intermittently, though his singing was truly nothing anyone could compliment.
The eyes visible through the Silver Mask suddenly widened. Su abruptly said, "Something's wrong!"
Yangshan Fei's singing stopped dead. He asked blankly, "Wrong? What's wrong?"
A cautious look appeared in Su's eyes. "We've been moving for so long today, and we haven't encountered a single enemy. Something's off!"
"What's so strange about that? Ha, we must have beaten the fear into them!" Yangshan Fei grinned broadly.
