After Chen Mu killed Yu Xin while escaping his pursuers, the Devil Woman took him in and trained him before sending him undercover at East Guard Academy. There, Chen Mu’s altered Perception drew attention, and he recognized that the academy’s Illusion Card competition could expose the techniques behind his Card Films.

• Chen Mu practiced his Tail-Shedding Shuttle Card, then accepted Vico Group’s commission and appointed Lei Zi to plan its launch event.
• Zuo Tianlin ordered Minghui to find and kill Chen Mu, while two masked Card Adepts killed Chen Mu’s secret protector and pursued him into the sewers.

Chen Mu escaped the Zuo Family’s pursuit and was detained by the Ning Family, where he used the facility’s resources to improve his card-crafting and combat skills. As the Ning and Zuo Families’ conflict escalated, Chen Mu passed the Arrowfish Challenge and began earning recognition for his Rain Shuttle Card.

• The Devil Woman carried Chen Mu through the jungle, but Qingqing recognized him and alerted Yin Chenjiu, forcing Chen Mu to flee and later discover the Devil Woman had disappeared.
• Chen Mu saw Lei Zi and Lan Feng leave Dongshang Guard City, killed the Card Adepts pursuing them, and escaped Daniu’s attack after killing him with the Tail-Shedding Shuttle.
• Chen Mu returned to East Guard Academy, developed Arrowfish Training, and began earning money by repairing cards and making a Loach Airflow Card for Sister Feng.
• Chen Mu learned that the Zuo Family had identified him through the Loach, then left for Amey City before Zuo Tingyi’s men could reach his villa.
• Chen Mu killed Card Adepts during a confrontation at Amey City’s station, was taken to the Ning Family estate, and accepted Ning Dong’s demand that he repair two hundred cards to regain his freedom.
• Chen Mu made use of the Ning facility’s materials and library, improved his perception to 6.2 meters, and passed the Arrowfish Challenge in the Simple Water World.
