At long last, it was finished.
I ought to write some... closing remarks! All right! I finished over 7.6 million characters, only to be stumped by a mere few hundred. True Immortal was finally complete. It felt as though I had finally accomplished a major milestone in my life. Veteran authors say your first book is always especially unforgettable.
True Immortal took far too many twists and detours. Some things need no words. It was finished, and its results were only so-so, but having completed it according to my plans and promises, I no longer wanted to dwell on the hardship and grievances I had endured.
Finished!
I kept that original promise! My dignity! Finished!
Thank you to every reader for your comments, votes, subscriptions, clicks, and encouragement!!! Without everyone's support... I hardly dared imagine whether I would really have finished True Immortal... Perhaps I would have abandoned it, or perhaps I would have kept writing.
