In the Dark Segmentum of Segmentum Obscurus, the special forces led by Sisyphus captured a Genestealer.

In year 324 of the chapter era, Great Thousand World discovered a group of Nine-Eyed God-Emperor Sect Genestealers while exploring a newly appeared Space Hulk. After calling in the Wolf Warriors, they successfully contained them.

That same year, using the Imperium's standard maps as a reference, a Deathwatch force led by an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor raided a world in the northeast of Ultima Segmentum. During the battle, however, every last one of them vanished.

According to the investigation by follow-up forces, the world was exceptionally clean. The entire Hive City had become an empty shell, with nothing left but load-bearing walls bearing signs of demolition.

The Ordo Xenos Inquisitor and the Deathwatch squad were found on a barren planet. Reportedly, they claimed to have been struck by a Stasis Field.

Evan slowly secured a "clean" region. All human worlds along this Purity Corridor had been evacuated, while the mining worlds with hostile conditions, where outposts could only be established beneath spherical domes, were sterilized.

Xenos strongholds were cleared, and mutant strongholds suffered devastating attacks.

There was absolutely no life anywhere along this corridor. Once the Tyranids arrived, they would have no choice but to advance in another direction, toward unknown xenos and the Necrons.

Evan had originally intended to lead his forces back to the planet designated by Old General Zahadrek and begin the Genestealers' Four Kingdoms Hegemony contest, but he ran into an old friend.
