The fighting inside the Webway was nearing its end. The Aeldari were not the main target of this massive daemonic invasion, but the daemons did not mind attacking them along the way.

The passage beyond this Webway Gate was not a main artery. It was too small for warships, but more than spacious enough for super-heavy vehicles.

Yvraine had a contingent of the Reaper Host with her at the time. When the ambush struck, the force split into three groups: one broke out to seek reinforcements, another served as bait to draw away the bulk of the daemons, and the last escorted Yvraine to safety.

When Yvraine stepped into the Webway again, most of the daemons had gone after the decoy force, but some slower enemies still spotted her group.

There was actually a Webway Gate here. They had not noticed it amid the earlier chaos.
